There are 12 months (bold) as well as festivals. Some festivals (blue) are between months. Others, like the Equinoxes and Solstices (green) fall on a particular day within the month.
Every month is 30 days long and consists of 3 ten-days. So, one might say "He arrived here on the eighth day of the second tenday of Tarsakh.
