A rather interesting set of starting cards, with Row 4 unplayable (until someone busts it) and Row 3 containing a 5-pointer, upping the risk if everyone played high. It only takes one to defect and play on a lower row, and Weez is happy to be that one, as the holder of the "Thou shalt take at least one point this game" card (which Argus is happy not to have!) Weez chooses to take the 1-point Row 2, leaving us with a new 1-point (but un-bustable) Row 1, a five-point Row 2, and the rest of the crowd filling up Row 3 to the tune of 9 points. And anyone with a card over 98 is kicking themselves for not playing it.

There's a theme in this game so far with 1's, 5's, and 7's. The first 3 row start cards are 1's and 7's with some 5-point cards. All the rows have 1 or 5 cards. Three of the rows are worth 1 or 5. And everyone plays cards with 1, 5, or 7 on them. Gypsy, Weez, and AJ pile onto Row 1, making it a 7 point row. Argus and Exeter add on to Row 2.

The overwhelming majority of cards would fall on Row 2, with only 2 free spaces, leading players to want to be the first two or last two. Or last one, it turns out, as Argus is in the fortunate position of having a single digit card, claiming Row 4's single point, and taking his first point not just in this round, but in the whole game. Three players aim for the low end of the Row 2 range, with Exeter snagging the first spot easily and AJ making a small risk for the last free spot. Weez is two pips short of safety and collects 10 points. Gypsy was the only player to go high, and escapes damage.

Once again, Row 2 represents the swirling vortex of doom that will attract most cards. And with one free spot, the goal was not to be #2. And unless you had the 12 card, you were at risk of being #2. Understandably, it seemed a lower risk to go high... and that's where everyone went. AJ was the lowest of the high cards and, probably to his surprise, claims the last spot on Row 2. That leaves Gypsy and Weez jockeying in line for the "not me" next spot... which Gypsy loses by a single pip, collecting 8 points. Weez and Exeter follow on with a sigh of relief on the newly busted row. Argus figured he was stuck on Row 4 eventually anyway, and he could risk 7 plus a random number, or take a sure 9 (that would probably eventually be his).

Row 1 would fit the majority of cards, and AJ, Weez, and Exeter play there, ending not quite high enough to start the traditional end-game walk-down, thanks to Gypsy happily landing on Row 3 and Argus taking advantage of the space he created on Row 4.

The open space on the top 3 rows is an illusion, as everyone ends up playing on Row 1. And while no doubt some could have taken a 4 point bust, the risk of taking more than 4 was limited. Exeter had a guaranteed safe play, leaving Weez with a "not quite guaranteed" safe play, collecting 5 points, while everyone else followed along, to commence the traditional end game "walk down".

We're at walk down stage, where most people can play under the lowest high card. Exeter is the lowest, and decides to take the 4-point Row 4 out of play, thus filling the new Row 1 with 4 cards as Argus, AJ, and Gypsy follow, and Weez, ends up on Row 2, making that 5-pointer now the lowest-scoring row.

On the second turn of this hand, everyone playd cards with 1, 5, and 7. This round, 3's and 5's were more popular but not quite unanimous. Argus kicks off the round with a 5-point bust of Row 2, playing a 5-point card. AJ connects the 3s to Exeter's 5's, while Gypsy has enough of the numerical nonsense and caps off the new row which totals 14 points. Weez sneaks into the last spot on the new Row 2.

Ah, the penultimate round, when you choose for two rounds in a row. Gypsy and AJ were at the low end and were stuck with the last two busts no matter how things turned out. Further, AJ had cards 3 pips lower than Gypsy so if he played the same order as her (low-high or high-low) he would end up taking both rounds. Only by alternating with one high-low and one low-high would Gypsy take one of the last two rounds. As it turns out, both played high-low. Exeter was stuck smack in the middle but below the lowest high card. He couldn't take any points even if he tried. Argus and Weez each had a high card with a chance to take Row 2 for 8 points (or Row 1 for 14 points if someone tactically busted Row 2) but held out this round, hoping someone else would go first. Not to be. As it turns out, Argus or Weez (we'll find out in a bit) is lucky because AJ is in "minimize damage" mode rather than "maximize pain on someone else" mode, which I would have done in his position. He takes out Row 3 for 7 points and everyone piles on behind him, creating a new 6 point row for the last turn.

AJ is once again 3 pips lower than Gypsy and takes Row 1's 6 points, while Gypsy and Exeter follow behind. Having passed over the chance, twice, to bust the 8-point row ending in 73, AJ spares Argus the 6 extra points he would have taken, as Argus still ends up with 8 points for Row 3 and Weez finishes the game with a huge sigh of relief.
