He is willing to let the zombies come back to them as he moves to a more central location along the ceiling. This way he can try to cast his web to slow them up and let the others use ranged weapons to weaken them up.
She hopes her companions are waiting for zombies to return. If it is that flaming skull she is not sure she can stand her ground but in the hope she is right, she takes a few steps forward and readies her bow.
Chandan recalls the need to douse the flameskull with holy water to prevent it's return but before he can get an answer, the zombies return. They must not have gone far.

DM Chandan and Ryssa move forward joining the fighters that are about to enter the fray while the eldritch knight targets one of the zombies that are lumbering forward. His fiery blast annihilates it with a well-place conflagration. Zombie-4 is destroyed. Davroar and Jaliera are next

Still not eager to draw closer because she doesn't know if he head has been vanquished, she targets a lumbering zombie and let's fire with her arrow. Then she hides.
Luminmorn He moves to the ledge of the channel and takes aim at the last remaining zombie. He pointed an angry finger at the zombie and unleashed eldritch energy at it but missed as it started to claw it's way up the wall. The zombie reaches Luminmorn. Jaliera kills Zombie#1. Luminmorn Eldrich Blast Neptune rolled 1d20+6,1d10 and got 7, 10 misses The zombie did a double move so it cannot attack. Bern is up This zombie is yet unharmed
The Dragonborn noble advanced, once again unleashing a blast of arcane immolating power of surprising puissance. He watched their last active enemy burn, comforted and emboldened by his natural mastery of fire harnessed through education.

DM The lone zombie had no chance. Finally the threats had been eradicated. Now the party had a chance to regroup and figure out where to go next. There was an exit to the west and east. Also the channel had exits north and east making four in total.
