He is not sure who or what caused the sparks, but hopes it is enough to cause one or two of the goblins to miss as he does a crouched run through the smashed door, turning to his left to attack the lone goblin.
Davroar Damage to goblin Dugan rolled 1d8+4 and got 9
Davroar Attack goblin Dugan rolled 1d20+4 and got 16
He didn't like sneaky attacks, he was more of a straight forward warrior. Yet he waited for one of the goblins to poke their head out into view on the left, and attempted to throw an Eldritch Blast at it.
DM After Kriv bashes down the doors, three goblins step out to fire arrows and then ducked away. Chandan conjures an a shower of sparks past the doorway, hoping to distract them. Davroar takes advantage of this opportunity. First he imbues his staff with magical power (Shillelagh is a bonus action) and he charges through the rubble to smash the one that turned west (east, or the right of the map). He was hoping to smash the lone goblin with his cudgel but instead, he does not see that goblin (note no #3 goblin). Instead, he looks into a dining hall and sees numerous goblins all pointing bows at him. A shower of arrows flew at the druid and but a number of the goblins were distracted by the sparks and missed their mark. Unfortunately, many were not and Davroar is pierced by three arrows.
First: It's Bern's turn.
Goblins Initiative Neptune rolled 1d20+1 and got 19

The attacks on Davroar. First, let's see who has disadvantage because of the sparks... G4,G5,G6,G7,G8,G9,G10 Intelligence check DC 10, 1-9=disadvantage Neptune rolled 1d20,1d20,1d20,1d20,1d20,1d20,1d20,1d20,1d20 and got 6, 16, 20, 8, 3, 10, 15

Davroar takes a total of 14 point of damage.
Also note that you see Goblin#1 to the west because Davroar's passive perception is greater than the goblin's stealth roll, but Goblin#2 is not visible because the goblin's stealth roll is higher than Davroar's (or anyone in the party)'s passive perception. neither of them attacked because they already went.

[ooc: it's described as "a wall of rubble" so think of it as a wall, floor to ceiling, part of which collapsed. It's "blocking terrain". So Bern needs to move elsewhere to fire.]
[[ ooc: Mike, you're 1 square short. I drew in "Line of Sight" borders for you. And you can test your targets for line of sight. Find the "ruler" tool in the toolbox. It looks like a comb. Click on Bern and drag it to a potential target. If the line cross/traverses a wall, you cannot target that enemy. Note that the ruler also shows you range!
And yeah, your DM strategically placed the goblins so that you must get caught in crossfire if you want to confront them. ]]
Bern steps behind Davroar and fires at the two goblins in the foreground. One arrow strikes a goblin in his eye and it crumbles to the ground. The other whizzes by the head of another, missing the mark.
Luminmorn readies a cantrip intended to zap any of the little buggers that dare to show their face. [ooc: we're back to the top. Ryssa and Kriv go before the goblins.]
Seeing her new comrade, Davroar, take a serious hit, Ryssa quickly slung her bow, retrieved her shield, moved up behind him and cast a spell of healing.
Not bothering with the arrow shafts for the moment, the Dragonborn took a pace forward into the doorway, and looked into the darkness of the tower into which he had seen some of his assailants flee.
"Hiding can't help you, little wretches."
He splayed his hand towards the darkened tower, spake a few harsh and guttural words in his native tongue and illuminated the area with flame.
Casting Burning Hands into the area to the west in which the goblins are hiding.
Kriv Burning hands damage AJ rolled 3d6 and got 13
I revealed a bit more of the map. AJ, you might want to reconsider your targeting of the spell with what this shows. I should have revealed at least this much before you went.
AJ, I cleared out the "fog" so you can see the layout clearly in the west. There is a door to the tower area so you can't see behind it.

The doorway is fairly crowded but Kriv is targeting the goblins that she had been watching for. Not much point in continuing her action. She can tell that Davroar and the others are being targeted by a number of goblins off to the left. She also has a door off to her left which might give then access to those creatures. She moves across to check it out; listen, check it. She also sends Whisper to the corner to find a perch out of harm's way.
DM The eldritch knight spreads his hand and flames burst forth. Both the goblin he saw and the one he didn't scream in agony as they roast. A moment later they are permanently silent.
Seeing his companions assailed from their portside, Chandan puts two and two together and summises their are adversaries behind the nearby single door.
Rather than kick it in or enter through a cascade of sparks, the old monk levers the door open and slips inside, ready to do his best, which also happens to be his worst, depending on one's point of view.
[Aye, I'm assuming Jaliera's check comes first. If not, I guess Chandan can check it by opening, then at least Jaliera won't waste her turn checking and can shoot. Monks make pretty good canaries.]
DM The goblins had been given orders to kill and kill they must. The five visible enemies (5,6,7,8,9) fire at Davroar. Most of the arrows that rain down on him strike, one finds a soft spot between his ribs and drives deep into his chest. He drops to the ground, a pool of blood forming under his body. The goblins hoot and howl as they felled an opponent and then scurry away from view and try to hide. G5,G6,G7,G8,G9 Fire arrows at Davroar Neptune rolled 1d20+4,1d6+2,1d20+4,1d6+2,1d20+4,1d6+2,1d20+4,1d6+2,1d20+4,1d6+2 and got 18, 7, 15, 8, 20, 6, 7, 4, 24, 6 G9 crit dam Neptune rolled 1d6+2 and got 3 Davroar takes 30 HP damage
Then the door near the beds where Kriv had killed two goblins moments earlier opens. Two goblins fire arrows and the door slams shut again. On arrow whizzes by his head and the other strikes him in the neck. G11,G12 Fire arrows at Kriv Neptune rolled 1d20+4,1d6+2,1d20+4,1d6+2 and got 15, 3, 16, 7 Kriv takes 7 HP dam
Chandan then opens the other door. From his vantage point he notices a few goblins but others might be lying in wait.
Note that indeed, some goblins have been waiting for him and as soon as Chandan is done, those guys get to go. They are not visible on the map because they rolled nice stealth rolls. Chandan gets to move. The door was not locked so I'm only charging a bonus action to open it. Chandan still gets his regular attack action if he so chooses.
Code:
Init AC MaxHP Dam

Three run out: fire arrows, hide.
Chandan 16 - 17 31 0 Sparks a flying

Jaliera 11 - 14 23 0 readies arrow attack
Bern 8 - 15 40 0
Luminmorn 2 - 18 34 0 Readies eldrich blast
Since Davroar goes after Chandan, please make your first death saving throw (just roll 1d20). Jaliera can go next. I decided to help the party out and not limit Chandan's attacks by having him prepare an action so Jaliera's door checking never happens.
Here he was thinking to rush in to catch the one goblin into a corner only to find a whole hall of them. He skids to a halt, half turning away when five goblins shoot at him. Four arrows hit, one taking his breath and life away in an instant as he falls to the ground with a solid sounding thud.
Her bow and arrow in the same hand, she yells to get attention and then casts colour spray into the room. She is unaware that Davroar has fallen, just very concerned about the numbers entrenched here. From her splayed fingers, bands of coloured light shine forth brightly towards the goblin horde.
OOC: Gypsy, I created a 15' cone (or as best I could draw) on the map. It originates from your position. Please place it as you wish and let me know when you're done so that I can rule on what it affects.
