Davroar

In a quiet voice he will say to everyone, "Watch out, that's all trapped", as he points to the tripwire and linchpins.

Jaliera

She flashes Davroar a quick smile.

"Well spotted! I'll see what I can do if we choose to go that way, meanwhile we should all stay clear of it."

"Well ... we will have to deal with it at some point", he observed. "The only reason for that sort of thing is to protect something important ... like the way deeper into the castle. But lets be sure about what is in this area first."

He didn't agree with Bern's reasoning. Goblins could be malicious just to be difficult. Though he believed in life, things had to die to make the cycle work. For now he remained silent and watched where he was going. The others who were better at spotting that kind of thing, would have to warn him.

Jaliera

"Maybe.."

She turns to Bern with a grin.

"But it is a pretty elaborate trap to have to keep resetting if it is a place visited frequently."

"Unless there is a way to bypass it", he replied with a matching grin. "Of course there =could= be another entrance that goes deeper into the castle ... but then why did the 'mooks' let us in this way?"

Chandan

The old monk takes up position next to the north door.

"Hey," he whispers to the rest of the party, "maybe we go this way? Guards know us this way, no problem if we bump into them."

Kriv

He similarly advanced, and sotto voce asked,

"Advancing beats standing around, but I favour an intelligence-led approach. Are there any further issues that our eagle eyed people can spot in this direction?"

Davroar

He is not sure if it was luck or not on catching the trip wire, but he will oblige Kriv and turn to look at the north end to see if there is any more traps.

The trap was easy to remove. There are no other traps that anyone else finds in this area.

Chandan

"Ah, well done!" The old monk comments, watching his companions deal with the death trap. Like others, he isn't sure whether the goblins set the trap on purpose, or are just extremely bad at home repairs.

Testing his door, Chandan whispers to Kriv and those nearest. "Now we go, quiet and quick. If anyone ask, we meant to be here. We Redbrands, come to take the dwarf slave to 'The Rendeszvous'."

His wizened face smiles mischievously.

Drily,

"An interesting plan. I presume you'll be fulfilling the role of the mute Redbrand?"

"So we are going to leave these other potential sources of foes that could come up behind unexpectedly unexplored", he asked ... sounding a bit surprised.

Chandan

"When man swim in dark waters, every way unknown." Says Chandan to Bern, nodding.

At least with the northern door, they might enlist the goblin guards thereabouts to vouch for the party, so far as to say 'Yes, we let them enter'. And that could be enough. King Grol's lackeys aren't the most conscientious security.

The old monk considers Kriv's idea.

"Hmm, yes! Silent, threatening, like a storm cloud."

{OOC I'm a bit lost. Jaliera was checking out the door to the left of where they entered. Not sure we had decided which one to go through. However I am busy with guests for a few days, Jaliera will happily listen, check for traps, diasarm or unlock any doors the group want to go through. smile ]

ooc: I await a solid declaration by the party as to where you are going. It might be prudent to have a party leaders make movement decisions?

The Noble scion decreed,

"Take the northwesternmost door first. Then circle around."

With a decision seemingly made, he moved to better cover the selected door. "Ready", he said.

Standing ready at the door, having found none, they open it. As soon as they do, they see three goblin archers, their bows are at their feet and they have swords in their hands.

OOC: I'll take initiative rolls now. This doesn't mean they're attacking, I just want some sort of turn order. And yeah, you can tell me what you're doing. Roll20 was updated.

Her shield on her back and her bow in hand, the cleric of Lathander drew an arrow from her quiver and nocked it, but still held the bow pointing diagonally toward the ground.

He will split his attention between the room, and the other doors in the corridor.
