He bows to the druid and starts heading back to town glancing back on occasion to see if his companions are joining him. If they do, he let's them take the lead and will move ahead stealthily. Lingo stealth rolls on the way to the tower Neptune rolled 1d20+7 and got 23 I'll provide more as you need them.
He wasn't really expecting much, but since Luminmorn had asked the question, he was willing to wait and see if there was anything useful the druid was willing to add.
"Well, as I mentioned, there are lots of Ash Zombies and Twig Blights scattered about. In addition there are the robed strangers on the east side of town I have seen lurking about. No idea what they're up to. Also there are dangerous spiders lurking in the ruins near the hill."
He watched the curious human gesture of shrugging and just stepped out of view. It was enough for him. It remained to be seen if it worked for his companions. He waited to see where they wanted to go next.
Having agreed to move on and see about the dragon, the group moves down the road, trying to keep a look out for trouble and especially keeping an eye on the tower on the hill for signs of the dragon.
Turning the corner of the path you reach an intersection. At the intersection there is a narrow lane that winds up the steep hillside to the north.
Directly to the south is a ruined building that might have been a store or workshop. Webs stretch across the lane from the building to the trees on the north side of the road.
The north side of the road is thick with trees and bushes making it impassable except for the trail.
From here you can make out the rest of the town. Several building clustered along the road. The tower to the north stands silent, like a sentinel watching over the ruined town and the ground falls away to the east and south with several other buildings in the area.
Nothing moves. Your options are to go thru the webs or to go around them between the buildings on the south side of the road. You can also pass through the shop directly to your south as it is ruined and has holes in several places where the walls have crumbled. You cannot head directly north thru the brambles and to take the road to the tower you would need to pass around the webs to the south or pass through them.
(OOC - So, immediate question is do you push thru the webs or go south? If south, which way? I need a specific path. Then, after that, what is your overall plan? Explore the rest of the town and hold the tower for last, or go directly to the tower?)
"I think it is a question of resources and how we use them. Do we take out the spiders so that they don't complicate the dragon fight? Or skip them and try for the dragon and then go back for the spiders? Rest might be needed in either case, just trying to consider our options." He looked to the others for their thoughts. He knew Lingo's greed would lead him to only one conclusion.
(OOC - If you are heading off on your own I need a specific path. Lingo finds the same situation as the others. Impassable to the north, webs to the east, enter the building directly south of the road or cut behind it.)
"I guess we should vote since no one seems to have an 'argument' to present for either path. I am not a fan of leaving an enemy at my back, so I suggest we deal with the spiders first. I don't think the dragon is going anywhere if we take the time for that."
The stealthy little halfling studies the web and if he sees a spider, that'll be his target. If not, the webs will do just fine. He moves up behind Bern and shoots a bolt of fire between the big fella's legs at his target. Then he scurries to cover, this time hiding behind Kriv.
Lingo Perception,Att w/Fire Bolt, fire dam,Stealth Neptune rolled 1d20+3,1d20+3,1d10,1d20+7 and got 14, 18, 8, 11 - (That bad stealth roll is why I specified that Lingo was trying to hide behind Luminmorn.)
Lingo Sneak damage if he targeted a spider Neptune rolled 2d6 and got 5

Yeah, at least I haven't yet call my wife "Tricia". (Tricia's the person that nags me at work). That'll be the epic fail of all time. I have called my wife "Mom" which didn't sit too well with her
Bern sets fire to the webs blocking the path with a torch, as well as a bolt of fire that shoots from between his legs into the webbing. He can feel the heat in a sensitive area as it passes.
The webs shrivel and burn. As they do, three Giant Spiders climb out of the ruined building behind to the south of you and attack with surprise. Two attack Luminmorn and both hit, while a third scuttles around to the rear to attack Balthazar but misses.
Giant Spiders Attack Lu, Lu, Ba Zeim rolled d20+5,d20+5,d20+5 and got 18, 18, 10
Two hits on Luminmorn for 14 points of damage, plus Luminmorn needs to make 2 DC 11 Constitution Saves versus Poison. He takes 9 points for each failed save and 4 for each successful one.
Everyone also needs to roll initiative. Note that only the single square inside the doorway to building 6 (the square with the #6 in it) still contains webs.
Giant Spiders Initiative Zeim rolled d20+3 and got 11
