[ooc: No but he can move through her square to reach the spot between her and Jaliera, fire and continue to move to return to where he is. In 5e you may break up your move. So, you can move 2, attack and move another 2. So yes, he can attack. ]

Davroar

Leaving his staff leaning against the wall he pulls out his sling. Stepping around the corner he quickly finds a spot between the two women and poorly slings a stone towards the bugbear. Muttering a curse for missing, he retreats back to his original position.

Jaliera

These things seem quite nasty. Calming herself she sights her target, draws back and releases her arrow.

Kallista

She looks around, not liking that the other Bugbear has moved out of view, so she keeps careful watch. In the meantime, she fires another bolt of fire at the one fighting Kriv.

[ooc: Zeim, that works for now but instead of using disadvantage going forward, use the -2 penalty for partial cover. After rethinking it, I think it's more appropriate.

Kriv can offer some smack-down now. If Neil's around, we're at Chandans 2nd death save.]

Kriv

He needed little persuasion, and zeroed in on the Bugbear before him, putting his weight into the swing.

Kriv finishes off the second bugbear with a solid strike with his maul and the hairy creature falls just to the side of the dying monk.

Kriv has a move action left, if he wants it and perhaps a free action, depending on what you try to do.

(If I can use a move action to haul Chandan clear, then I'll do so. Otherwise, hold position.)

Kriv moves Chandan to the top of the steps. If the bugbears did anything, they are now out of view.
Back to the top of the order: Davroar, Jaliera, Kalista, Chandan, Kriv, bugbears

Seeing that one is down, he will quickly move back down to Chandan's side to cast another healing to hopefully revive him.

There's silence for the moment. One injured bugbear has run off. The body of another bugbear lies next to the body of the nothic at the bottom of the steps. Everyone is at the top of the steps.

Davroar applies the healing to the monk and his eyes open. The druid realizes that it's the second time he's needed to heal the monk and his ability to heal is running out.

He will lend a hand to help Chandan up, and keeping his voice down he says, "Old man, I can't keep up with you with my healing. How about trying to stay on two feet for awhile, please?"

She thinks the best thing she can do is to keep an arrow ready and watch the corridor and doorway for the remaining bugbear or any new arrivals whilst the others get themselves sorted.

Kriv

He looked down at the corpse of the Nothic, and at the blood spilt by their foolhardy companion when the ambush struck home. What were the odds that they were waiting for another ambush, hiding around a corner ready to strike?

High enough, he reckoned. He took a deep breath...

Stand at 5, 5. Breathe fire down the stairs, 15ft cone, looking to go through both doors and hopefully discourage anyone waiting in ambush.

Kriv stands at the bottom of the steps and breathes fire. The door to the left is closed so the flames shoot out to the right into the room that the Redbrand ruffians had been in. He hears no screams of agony from anywhere - just the sound of sizzling flesh coming from the now charred corpses laying at his feet.

Kriv

The way tested, he strode down to the base of the stairs for a better view of the situation.

Kriv hears a noise from the closed door to the left. It sounds like furniture moving. As he looks right he sees the door to the right is ten feet away and opens into a room. Kriv sees a table with several chairs around. Several coins and other trinkets are stacked in the middle of the table. There's a door at the far end of the room and it's slightly ajar.

He will keep a lookout to the north just in case anyone tries to come at them from behind while Kriv moves forward to investigate.

She covers Kriv whilst he investigates ahead. All seems to be quite now. She waits to see if he signals anything.

Kriv

He does indeed, pointing to one of his earholes then at the closed door. He also makes a beckoning gesture, and stands ready, maul in hand, eye on the closed door.

He must be able to hear something in the room. Probably that injured bugbear. She nods and moves quietly along the corridor, positioning herself so that she can fire through the doorway to back up Kriv but also not expose herself to the unexplored area to her right. Aiming, she nods that she is ready.
