He hears the approach of the others and moves to the edge of the top of the tower to give them a wave. Then he heads down the stairs to greet them and to let them know what he has fouind and done, not with any desire for praise but only a desire to save the time and efforts of others as every moment counts.

(is there any place at the tower where someone might be able to slip out if they needed to later?)

Kadri;

She seeks out the nearest person available to her.

In this case, that happened to be Darian.

"Darian...?"

Darian

She stopped her perusal of the top of the tower and looked to the Amberite. "Aye?"

"I just need an ... Opinion. You are here ..."

A pause, then she speaks quietly.

"If I stay in here, I feel like I would not be helping out to the best of my ability . . . and letting her down ... It's not really an option for me."

"But on the other hand ... I might sound brave, but I fear death. And being a ... Distraction."

She bites her lip.

Darian

The Hunter tilted her head in thought.

"What be you skills?"

"Throw, move quietly, cause confusion, strike from ... ambush. I do best on the move. Where I can ... Act."

Darian

She looked down over the side of the tower to the open area where Dazi intended to make her stand.

"How close target need be? How far see?"

kadri

"Well. I see allot farther than I can actually hit. Mgot good eyes..."

Darian

Her brow furrowed in thought. "Any magics not need be close?"

[in plain English she's asking if Kadri has any magic that works at a distance)

"five body lengths, maybe?"

Darian

She leaned back against one of the uprights and crossed her arms. "Darian think be more Red Riders than have arrows."

"These," she said, tapping the stone parapet behind her, "block what Darian see. Can only see this much."

She held out her hands in a manner indicating a 45 degree angle.

"While still be arrows, Kadri help Darian see. Be no more arrows, Darian and Kadri go hunt from ground."

She nudged the long coiled rope with her foot. "Tie rope, slide down back, go Hunt, aye?"

Kadri

A pause.

"Aye. Then come in ... From behind. More chaos, perhaps?"

Darian

"Dazi say they be chaos."

A sudden grin.

"Maybe bring order.

Kadri:

"The stillness that comes with the final rest is very much ... Order. The Lady Krysta is owed tonight. I think tonight, she receives payment and the order of death takes them."

Cesare

As he works to distribute his rock piles in strategic places around the top of the tower, he has added larger ones brought individually to be dropped on anyone attempting to climb up.

He listens to the two women as they talk, not interrupting but adding a question at the end.

"Who will be up here? Darian, Kadri, Romana, myself? I think we need to not only do as much damage to the enemy as we can but also we do need to somehow cover all approaches to make sure we are not taken unawares.. and also to act as spotters for those below. I know Romana intends to be a watcher, maybe Kadri too? Perhaps each should watch a different direction?"

Bekkah

"I'll be up here as well. I can watch for you."

[OOC: I believe my brain has been shattered. I have been trying to write a post for a week, and failing completely. However, I will continue making this attempt, and hope I come up with something that is coherent and will also satisfy the GM. D@mn this Kahallan Method of posting!]

Cesare

He turns and smiles at Bekkah.

"And that will be most welcome. I had thought that we might need a minimum of three so that the full arc of the circle is covered.. and we now have that."

Bekkah

"It would be my pleasure. I will be of little use otherwise. Unless something befalls one of you, all I could contribute was to stay out of harm's way."

Cesare

"From what I understand you have travelled extensively on your own? I would therefore doubt the claim that you could contribute little. Even if your skills or beliefs down extend to fighting the enemy directly, I'm very sure you would be good at all sorts of important things like.. making sure everyone knows what is going on, enxcouraging others, boosting morale, independent eyes and ears, utilising your extensive experience to evaluate people and their actions - both their side and ours.."

He smiles again.

"Glad you are with us. We might not be in the forefront of the assault - not our role - but we all have an important role to play."

He is reminded of his late mother then. This is maybe the sort of thing she would have said. She could always find value in everyone. In some ways it surprises him as he is not given to saying so much usually. But he can feel changes within himself as a result of his involvement with this group and some of the things he has witnessed because of it. Maybe it has been a time coming? Maybe it is time that he steps out of the shadows and carves a place for himself? Maybe.. if he survives?

Kadri:

"It still ... irks me ... to not ..."

She shrugs.

"What is, is."

Daxia

Upon arriving at ruins, Daxia walked over to the eastern side where Romana stood, giving the hooded woman a brief nod and a hint of a smile before looking out across the expanse separating the buried Temple from the Forest of Roth. She appeared to be deep in thought as most of her companions climbed to the top of Lord Random's tower. Finally, with a glance behind her at the well and a final inspection of the treeline, she nodded to herself and turned towards the tower.

"Lady Kay, did you still wish to offer the Priestesses below a meal?" she asked the elder Atteran. "I would be happy to bring them something... unless, in your experience, there is not enough time before the Riders come out of the Forest."

Mikal

"I will stand with Daxia. I prefer she stand on top of the tower, in all her finery, and taunt the avatar to come up while his minions smash themselves to bits on the stone walls and we can all have some protection, but if she will not then I will stand below to cover her flank."
