"Looks like we are heading back to the college!" Em was surprised, the pub crawl did not have as much alcohol involved as she had thought it might. Still, they had done a fine showing. Then she tossed a saucy wink at the boy with the balloons. "By the way, thanks for the compliment on my genes... yours are not that bad either."
He shrugs his shoulders at Levon's jibe, briefly feeling some chagrin about it Henri quickly decides not to let it get to him. Turning his frown to a smile Henri vaguely remembers some lines from a chorus from some old-timer song:
Now don't be sad Cause two out of three ain't bad Now don't be sad, cause two out of three ain't bad
Unconsciously humming the tune that is about to become an ear worm, his mood lightens up and will follow along heading back to the college grounds.
She had popped the balloon with her fingernails in satisfaction after a moment pressing and pulling it apart. No points, but that was fun. She grinned and flashed the scarlet tips. After Henri's turn, it all seemed to wrap up with Levon bellowing to marshaling them back to campus. Until Em started flirting with balloon boy. Skye hung back with her fashionista friend and then gently collected her by the arm as they cooed at each other.
"Now kids. There'll be time for that in a bit. Let's keep with the team for now." She giggled as they got a few steps away and at the back of their group. "Em! You naughty girl. Seems we're all on the prowl..."
The reply follows her out of the door. They consult their map and work out the quickest way back to the campus.
They are perhaps 5 - 10 minutes away when they hear sounds of an argument up ahead. First impressions is that it is not in English. Secondly that they cannot see anyone in the street but are then aware of an entranceway ahead and to their right. This is where the voices are coming from.
[OOC: Quick clarifications - male and/or female voices? You seem to indicate too far away to know the language - unless there is someone in our group that speaks it.]
He looks towards the large entranceway where the raised voices are coming from and says, "Don't understand what's being said, but sounds like someone is not happy."
Curiosity does take him to walk towards the entranceway to take a look and see what is up.
Emma looks at the others, and at Henri's departing backside. "Well... " She starts to follow along, pulling out her phone and flipping on the camera to record, just in case. She could use it to make a call, or if something was going wrong up ahead the footage might be useful.
She would have been happy to just pass along whatever fracas was happening, because she didn't hear a woman's voice and figured it was just some drunk local men. But, as her friends edged forward out of curiosity, her protective nature took hold again.
"Levon. Don't let them wander too far in." She spun him towards Henri, and nodded towards Em with her phone at the ready.
Levon He moved forward to follow Henri, not resisting Skye's nudge but spun around an extra time to say "I'm the one who's gonna get in trouble, you know!"
As Henri looks around the corner, his eyes interpret the scene as two doctors having a big argument, one likely to erupt into a fight. Then he realises that he recognises the two faces, those guys from the 'medical' team who are also on the pub treasure hunt. No sign of the others on the team though.
As Henri looks around the corner, Emma stands out of sight and extends her phone past the corner so that it could record whatever Henri is seeing. Hopefully they were just being silly, but truly it was worth it to be cautious... just in case.
After all, you can't make an omelet without breaking eggs, every cook will tell you that. But... Look what happened to the cook!
Recognizing the same two from the medical team, his curiosity is satisfied so he turns around and walks back to where Emma is standing while keeping out of sight of them too now. Henri did not understand a word that they were saying, so it makes little sense to get involved.
"It's just those two doctors from the medical team group. Both look like they're ready to hit each other. Might as well just stay out of it and get back to the campus."
