I wanted to mention Knave, an OSR (old-school revival) hack of DnD 5e. It is fairly simplistic in its operation and cleans out a lot of the stuff that DnD 5e has to offer. It is quite rules-light but has some of the flavors of the olden days. I just wanted to share because though we play games to experience the rules, or at least I do. I also sometimes really like rules-light. It also allows one to use 5e resources like monsters and what have you.

There is another game called M20 - Adamantine, which does a similar job of culling a lot of the rules out and breaking DnD down to its basics.

I have a few Cypher System hacks that do a similar job.

I just wanted to share in case people want to step away from the mechanics and still have a similar flavor. I also wanted to see other members of our community's comments.
