Order of Play:
  • Gypsy - 5
  • Weez - 18
  • AJ - 88
  • Alduin - 89
  • Argus - 91

Gypsy leads the charge with a tactical bust, having her choice of 1-point rows. She picks Row 4.

Weez slips onto the old Row 1, now Row 2; and everyone else ends up on Row 4 where they planned... just now the new Row 4.

Argus set himself up on Row 4 to take the last spot, leaving AJ out in the cold with 9 points.

Order of Play:
  • AJ - 9
  • Gypsy - 16
  • Argus - 21
  • Alduin - 50
  • Weez - 95

AJ takes control of his score this round, choosing to bust Row 3 for a point, perhaps hoping to catch a competitor unawares.

Gypsy is one of the few (if only?) able to take advantage of a play on the old Row 1, avoiding AJ's devious plans.

Argus has a safe play on the old Row 2, but Alduin and Weez head for the old Row 3.... which is no longer there thanks to AJ's move. After Argus's play there's only one spot for them both. Alduin claims it, and Weez enjoys 9 points.

Order of Play:

  • Argus - 14
  • Gypsy - 81
  • Weez - 98
  • Alduin - 101

With only one space on Row 2, lots of points, and most of the cards in the game falling on that row, it's no surprise that those who could avoid it, did.

AJ and Argus had nice low cards for Row 1. They're safe.

Weez and Alduin had nice high cards for Row 3, hoping nobody would bust it. They're safe, too.

That leaves Gypsy sauntering onto Row 2, taking the last spot unopposed.

Having a card in the 80s and 90s is not a good place to be any more, especially if you have multiple of them. smile

Order of Play:
  • Alduin - 7
  • Gypsy - 24
  • Argus - 31
  • Weez - 58

Alduin decides to grab the 1-point row while busts are cheap, leaving the other four players to vie for 2 spots on what's now Row 2.

The name of the game is not to be third, which unfortunately Weez is, to the tune of 7 points.

Since anyone with a card over 81 isn't playing it (yet) everyone has to gamble on Row 1, not knowing what people will play and wondering if it's higher or lower than 11 points.

There are four spots and five players, and Gypsy just misses out in the race not to be last.

Only 10 points, better than 11?

Order of Play:
  • AJ - 38
  • Argus - 48
  • Alduin - 65
  • Weez - 69

AJ leads off with a bust, taking a point but otherwise leaving the empty spots on the board unchanged. Argus lands exactly where expected in the second spot on Row 1, followed by the other players trying not to be last.

Fortunately the bust means everyone fits, filling the row and setting up for a walk down.

Order of Play:
  • Weez - 33
  • Argus - 63
  • Gypsy - 66

Everyone offers to bust, but Weez wins the auction, taking 4 points for Row 4.

Everyone else piles on the points.

Some interesting strategies may be at play next turn.

  • Gypsy - 54
  • Argus - 83
  • Weez - 84

With only two cards left, it's time to get tactical. Take the 11 points now and hope to escape cleanly next turn? Or take 4 points now and gamble on whether the 11 is in play.

Three players decide to go for the 11-point row 4 now, Argus and Weez preparing to fall on their swords.

But Alduin steps in with a low play, busting Row 4 and sending Argus and Weez down onto the old Row 3.

AJ and Gypsy follow along.
