Not the recent film about David Bowie, but some earlier movie of that name?

The Quick and the Dead, one of my favourite Sam Raimi movies and an entertainingly outlandish Western.

I had seen it and remembered the female lead in general but couldn't id her. Thanks PP!

The obvious next step would be Basic Instinct, but we have had Michael Douglas too recently, so instead I'll riff on that. She reprised her character from Basic Instinct in a cameo appearance in the horribly awesome meta-film:

Party On, Dugan!

While I'm tempted to pay homage to some of the other cast members, I think the chain would be best served by the one who rivaled Sean Connery, Roger Moore, and Daniel Craig in his portrayal of a spy.

Mike Myers.

The Quick and the Dead is a good one for this game. It's rammed with names. Sharon Stone, Gene Hackman, Leo DiCaprio, Russell Crowe, Keith David, Lance Henriksen, Gary Sinise... and of course being a Sam Raimi film, a cameo by Bruce Campbell.

Phew!

As for Mike Myers, whatever happened to him? Did his brand of piss-taking comedy finally piss someone off?

I guess Hollywood doesn't do that sort of comedy anymore. You can make fun of yourself but not of other people.

Anyway, the Austin Powers films are crammed with cameos but tbh they're hard to remember over 20 years later! grin

So I'll go for Shrek.

Sure, voice actors can be hard to remember too but this cast was pretty well publicised and had numerous sequels to bed in the memory. wink

Beverley Hills Cop is the best Murphy movie imo, but I'm not picking that one, no siree. I'll go for something easier.

Trading Places

And while you think about that one, here's Harold Faltermeyer to take us back to halcyon days.
