Mike, Note the duration of bardic inspiration: "Once within the next 10 minutes". I say that because it will wear off after this melee. However, this melee is far from over so there may, indeed, be a great moment to use it soon.

With no foes in sight, the Dragonborn kept up with his colleagues and readied a fire bolt to greet the next enemy with. | | | | Joined: May 2000 Posts: 17,985 Likes: 1 Moderator | OP Moderator Joined: May 2000 Posts: 17,985 Likes: 1 | OOC: AJ, Kriv does see a target once he moves up. It's in dim light but that only impacts perception by making those rolls with disadvantage. Arus is fighting off an otyugh. Kriv saw Bern fire an arrow at it and both Zhu and Sindar cast spells at it. It is also behind cover (-5 to hit) but it is slowed (+2 to hit) so a net of -3 to hit. Since it's a cantrip, go ahead and roll.
I also moved Jaliera up using a 1/2 speed double-move since she didn't use an action.

AC 14. Arus is up. The Otyugh does not have cover from Arus.

As her last hit was successful, she will fire at it again.

Sewer filth or diseased slobber don't worry Arus. Divine power strengthens the paladin against such mundane ills. What is the Order of the Leviathan but an instrument of the triton god Persana?
But that doesn't help him land a blow on the otyugh. The floor is slippery, fouled with the creature's juices and Arus's sword swings wide.

That isn't his only problem. A kuo-tao that had been hiding beyond the next footbridge north steps out of the water with a spear and hurls it at him. The spear falls harmlessly into the water behind the triton and that Kuo-tao dives back in the water, out of sight. Another one steps out of the water, spear in hand, onto the platform where Davroar had cast his flaming sphere. It tries to cover it's eyes to the light of the ball of flame as it chucks the spear down the hole. The spear hits the druid. This Kuo-tao also dives back into the water, out of sight. The kuo-tao spellcaster, like his subordinates, climbs out of the water to attack. He is at the far end of the central pool. He calls for holy flames to strike down Sindar. OOC: A word about the movement tactics for the Kuo-tao. They move 30 and swim 30 (6 five-foot move). They use 2 to climb out of the water. 3 to stand. Then 1 to dive back into the water. KT-1, KT-4 and KTW-1 are NOT visible to you. The graphic shows where they were BEFORE they dove back into the water.
KT-1 Throws spear at Davroar (disadvantage) Neptune rolled 1d20+3,1d20+3,1d6+1 and got 23, 21, 2 (Hits for 2 points)
KT-4 Throws spear at Arus (disadvantage) Neptune rolled 1d20+3,1d20+3,1d6+1 and got 15, 5, 2 (misses)
KTW-2 Sacred Flame on Sindar Neptune rolled 2d8 and got 5 (damage - Sindar needs to make a Dex save - DC 12)
Otyugh Tentacle attack Neptune rolled 1d20+6,1d8+3 and got 18, 6 (Misses)
Otyugh Wisdom save vs slow Neptune rolled 1d20+1 and got 10 (Fails)

She is getting more worried about Davroar having seen that thrown spear so she decides to target the area of his flaming spear and wait under one of the underwater creatures reappears.

Your action is to "ready an action" declared as "aim my arrows towards the flaming sphere and fire when I see an enemy". That leave you both a move and a stealth. That still leaves you a move and bonus. So, you can move up 15 feet safely and hide.
Davroar goes, and since he's trapped, let's let Sindar go too.

BTW, when the kuo-tao hurls it's spears down the well at Davroar, he can see them ... for a moment. That might be a strategic hint.
