Although he hasn't quite broke even during the night, Arus plays for the thrill of playing. The wager is merely the fee of entry.
As long as he only gambles what he can afford to lose, the net result is a trifling matter. Therein lies the allure. In life Arus plays for far higher stakes than at the tables, and that is no game. In his line of work, the only acceptable outcome is victory.
Soon after leaving a game of three-dragon ante, Arus makes his way to the bar for refreshment, signalling to Sindar and Kriv with a raised eyebrow. He wants to talk.

She eats her light meal listening to the Lady prattle on about nothing of particular interest, ocassionally nodding her head politely. Once finished, she glances at Kriv and then says, "It was a pleasure dining with you. Best of luck the rest of the evening. Now, I think we will go try our hand at the tables."
She rises and nods once more then heads into the gambling room where she wanders from table to table trying different games as the mood strikes.

She sees that the others are gathering and makes her way to the bar, ordering a light drink and then leaning back against the bar whilst she surveys the room. She doesn't acknowledge any of the others, thinking that they may find it easier to converse or eavesdrop if viewed as a person on their own. After an hour or so, Arus approaches everyone quietly and gathers Sindar, Jaliera, Zhu and Kriv to talk. They are sitting at a table in the dining room. Waiters bring them food and drink, part of the opportunity to eat and drink all you like for one small fee. The dining hall empties out after the first hour, and seats are readily available and tables are unoccupied so that they can discuss things in relative privacy.
The other four are eager to hear what Arus has learned.

Arus ponders that: Could Atalia be listening in on their thoughts, thus their conversation even now?
Younger Arus had been a terrible student. He paid too much attention to his teacher in magic class, yet very little attention to what she was teaching.

If you have the gaming toolset proficiency add your proficiency bonus.
2 - If you have intimidation, deception or persuasion, roll one of those skills, otherwise just Charisma. If you have the gaming toolset proficiency add your proficiency bonus.
3 - If you have perception or insight skills, roll one of those those, otherwise just Wisdom. If you have the gaming toolset proficiency add your proficiency bonus.
4 - No adjustments of any kind. Just a Wisdom roll. This roll determines if you must play another hour or you have the choice to quit.
