Or is there something further we need to do in THIS thread to get there? | | | | Joined: Jul 2011 Posts: 5,669 Member | OP Member Joined: Jul 2011 Posts: 5,669 | The Waverider's Watch thread is for Kadri, Cesare and Mikal to hold whatever conversations they wish and to take whatever actions they wish.
This can be anything the three wish to do, from packing it in and going to sleep for the day, visiting the Mill, fighting fish in the Blackwater River, burn down a farm house or going their own separate ways. I am not being mocking in this list, I am just trying to illustrate that this is your thread for you to take any actions your characters wish - its not my choice, its yours.
For coordination purposes the only thing I asked was that the other thread, which has been ongoing, not be disturbed until it had a chance to resolve, in respect for your fellow players involved in that thread. I'd do the same thing for the Waverider's Watch folks if the situation was reversed.
If one, two or all of you you wish to roleplay with Pietro, Keiko and Lyric, that is what the Sunday Post in "Room With A View" is for. It allows the two threads to be synchronized. Thus, if one of your desired actions is to have your character look for those three, you should post in that thread and include how you go about finding them.
Then I can describe what you'd find and then the other players can then join in with their responses. | | | | Joined: Jul 2011 Posts: 5,669 Member | OP Member Joined: Jul 2011 Posts: 5,669 | Dommi is replying to Message Number #864790: Mikal
He nods to the others, but addresses Pietro since the man replied to him. "I wonder if it is the same errand we just spoke with Bekkah about?"
He glances around, seeing the farmer and noting the new arrival, and the new horse.
"Perhaps it would be better to discuss details inside?" The bold italics are mine. This post has not been edited or otherwise negated. Just like Players can respond to previous posts when they get overrun, so can the gamemaster. It is a flexibility that is required by the nature of message based gaming; it should never be of a case of whoever posts fastest wins. It also allows me, as the gamemmaster, to not have all the posts after #864790 be retconned. That's not fair to the efforts of the other players. However, if you wish we can delete all the messages after #864790 to allow Dommi's post to be put in its proper place. If you are referring to Message Number #864795: Mikal
"Certainly, however Master Heatherson and his helper", he nods his head to the nearby pair, "are not likely to be involved."
He refrains from adding that the less people who know what they discuss the better, so as to not insult the farmer.
Glancing at Lyric, he shakes his head no. "The Tower is private, or can be made so, and imposes on no one."
He pauses. "We met yesterday. You offered to sing." He smiles at her. This does not negate the previous post. If the placement of the post disturbs I suggest seeing it as a very strong affirmation of Lyric's previous statement. I can also edit the post to account for Message #864795, because Dominic could have a response to one of the statements within, which I chose not to include. The easiest thing, I believe, is to simply let things stand as is. It's a logical progression based on the actions and statements of the characters, with a properly in-character response by one of the native characters. The opinions expressed by native characters on the Heartwood are their own In-Character opinions and beliefs and do not reflect the Gamemaster's personal Out-Of-Character beliefs or opinions.

Leave it as is. Easiest, even if wrong. Mikal will just ignore the incorrect statements as if they never happened. | | | | Joined: Jul 2011 Posts: 5,669 Member | OP Member Joined: Jul 2011 Posts: 5,669 | Dommi post in for proofreading, falls into place after Lyric's post!

we are word crafters, and this is a game- let us use words- turn the tension into fun and keep the perspective that we choose to play this game and we choose to play within the universe. we don't all know the universe in depth so we all feel a little frustration from time to time, but we can work it out.
i am trying to do that with zeim right now- make it fun where we both can play our characters, talk, learn about each other a bit...

I have never made a secret of the fact that I suffer from mild depression and a handful of other mental health issues (Super OCD Woman, remember?) in addition to the very real and physically taxing fibromyalgia. This time of year — beginning just after Samhain and ending around Ostara (vernal equinox) — is horrific for me, and my depression modulates between moderate and serious. Now, I don’t have New York’s weather making everything worse anymore, but the fact remains that three of the most important people in my life — my grandmother, who practically raised me, and both of my daughters — died between Thanksgiving and the end of January. Despite what certain insensitive and abysmally ignorant cretins I used to work with advised, that isn’t something one can “get over.” Winter is a time for grief... profound grief. I abhor Christmas. I don’t celebrate Yule, and some years I can barely bestir myself to acknowledge it. I hurt just as much as I did in 2000 when Mackenzie died. I hurt just as much as I did in 2013 when Megan died. Unless you have walked through this particular Hell, there is nothing you can imagine that is this awful. I don’t want pity, and I don’t need sympathy.
What I need is a lack of stress. This is a game. It’s supposed to be fun and exciting.
Stress is the single most destructive thing that exacerbates my fibromyalgia. Mental, physical, emotional — it doesn’t matter where the stress is coming from, it’s going to beat on me mercilessly. For most of the year, I have enough methods of self-care to manage it. Not so in winter. The stress of profound grief frickin’ HURTS. Literally. In every muscle and many of the tendons of my body.
Hiatus means I don’t have to deal with anything on DreamLyrics that I don’t feel like dealing with. Hiatus means I can write stories that interest me without having to worry about hurting someone’s feelings. Hiatus means I can still have fun without needing to worry about stress.
Hiatus means a Kel who might just be able to get through days without narcotics.
So, my friends, work this out or don’t. I would prefer that you did, but you’ll do it without me being in the middle. Without being in the middle, maybe I can write for Keiko.

Congratulations, Jim. You are now (what we called in the old days of feminist consensus-building) the Vibes Watcher. I've told Wolf separately so now I want everyone to know in the game Forum. I am turning my pc over to Wolf to run as an npc and do with whatever he chooses.

I somehow overlooked where you said he was hunkered down in front of Emerald/Mouse...
Sorry about that. I only placed my character a little bit away so I could get a post in during a time when my RL was hectic with house hunting and stuff. I wasn't intending for a deep conversation to develop. I am enjoying it, and feel fine if others want to organically join by walking the short distance_ never established what that was, just put a rock there which I felt might be a reality give the huge rock that sticks up out of the ground with a watch keep on the top. just saying is all<g> | | |
