I am a giant Magnum fan (I have seen all the episodes at least four times, even the bad ones) and if you twisted my arm I would probably say it is my favorite TV show, though NCIS is close as is Baa Baa Black Sheep (a guilty pleasure for a WWII buff and a plane nut - and also a Larson/Bellisario effort).
Personally I didn't really mind the parallels. Magnum P.I. was an early Bellisario show (so it is something of a tribute) and in the early years of NCIS (the ones written by Bellisario) the DiNozzo character used to talk about Magnum all the time, so in a way it is sort of neat. | | | | | Joined: May 2000 Posts: 42,530 Likes: 13 Member | | Member Joined: May 2000 Posts: 42,530 Likes: 13 | While I watched Magnum fairly regularly, it has been a =very= long time.
