The halfling hides behind the biggin's before he emerges for a moment in the doorway to shoot a firebolt at one of the zombies. He has never seen the likes of these things but hopes that his magic would hurt it bad. Unfortunately, the one he pointed at suddenly turned away from Ryssa's priestly thing and the bolt went astray.

It took him a moment to recover from heaving the door open. Once that was done he had his sword out and ready for any of the undead that attempted to leave through the door.
Balthazar's Firebolt hits one of the Zombies and an unusual puff of ash bursts from it for a distance of about 5 feet.
Ryssa then calls upon the power of Lathander to turn the undead abominations and 5 of the 6 turn to flee. Unfortunately there is nowhere for them to run to so they cluster against the far wall.
Almost as soon as they begin to turn away, Luminmorn's javelin strikes one. It too gives off the strange puff of ash. More importantly, as soon as it takes damage it stops trying to flee and turns back towards you.
Lingo acts as Balthazar did, and sends another bolt of fire into the room, though his aim is not as good as the Wizard's and it misses all the zombies.
Bern stands ready at the doorway.
Two of the 6 zombies stagger towards the door, where Bern and Luminmorn wait. Their hands outstretched they ball up their fists and move to strike you.
(OOC - OK. I am reading Bern's post as Readying an Action. As soon as the two Zombies reach the doorway Bern can act first. No one else can go. After Bern the Zombies get to go. Note, only 1 Zombie saved versus the Turn Undead. However once a turned creature takes damage the turn effect ends, so Luminmorn's javelin stopped the turn on one of them.)

The cloud of ... what ever it was ... that was coming off the zombies was unlike anything he had heard of. "Hold your breath around them, that 'cloud' is probably dangerous", he called as he prepared to meet the first one through the door.
Once it steps into the doorway, he takes a deep breath, holds it and strikes, then takes a step back so he can breath and someone else can step forward. He would take a breath and be ready to replace whoever moved up. If they can keep them bottled up in the building that way, only one at a time can attack.
The dragonborn prepared to fight the zombies that approached and step in when Bern stepped out. He also made a note to hold his breath as the ranger suggested.
[OOC: As a note, not that I think it really matters. But I specifically stated Luminmorn attacked the one that Balthazar's firebolt hit. So that we would only have one zombie to deal with at a time.]
Bern, waiting to see if any of the Zombies approach, strikes at the one who managed to resist Ryssa's Turn. He hits it with his sword, and like the one hit by Balthazar and Luminmorn it gives off a puff of ash.
(Bern and Luminmorn must make DC 10 Constitution Saves. If they fail they have Disadvantage on attack rolls, saving throws, and ability checks for 1 minute (10 rounds). If they fail they can repeat the Saving Throw at the end of each of their turns, rolling with Disadvantage of course.)
The Zombie that was hit, now swings it's fist at Bern. It slams into him and he takes 4 points of damage.
The remaining Zombies huddle against the far walls trying to stay away from Ryssa.
Zombie Attack Bern Zeim rolled d20+3 and got 23
Once Bern and Luminmorn roll their Saving Throws, we are back to the top of the order with Balthazar.
(Pande - It is closer to poison than disease. Basically you've inhaled a bunch of gritty ash and you are coughing and hacking it up, which distracts your attacks, saves, and abilities for a time. You can save again at the end of your turn, with Disadvantage. All your rolls until you save are at Disadvantage.)
He frowned at the attacking zombies, wondering what the ash or dust was that was coming off of them and if it might cause contagion. But that didn't keep him for murmuring a word of power and sending another small bolt of fire dancing from his fingertips to strike the zombie on the ranger.
Slinging her shield over her back, the cleric pulled her bow, nocked an arrow and fired at the zombie Balthazar had just targeted, but grimaced as the zombie moved and her arrow only hit it in the arm.
The dust in his face at that first hit was disconcerting. That was something to be considered. He knew that he was better at range than up close, so he decided to take a couple of steps back, pulling his bow.
Once he was in place, he let fly with his bow at the head of the zombie that was still in the doorway ...
Bern bow at zombie MikeD rolled d20+7,d8+3 and got 13, 4
For the record, that is 2 attacks in a row where there was a 1 on the damage die <sigh> I hate the die roller <sigh>
Balthazar fires another firebolt that strikes the zombie in the chest. A moment later Ryss'a arrow whizzes into its arm it just as it steps forward to take an attack of opportunity on Bern as he steps back to fire his bow. Perhaps Ryssa's arrow distracts it as it misses Bern who then hits with his own arrow.
Zombie Opportunity attack Zeim rolled d20+3 and got 4 - Miss
Luminmorn swings his enchanted sword and strikes the zombie across the chest. With a final cough he manages to expel the last of the ash from his lungs.
(OOC - Luminmorn has saved so is no longer at Disadvantage)
Lingo The halfling moves between the bigger folk and fires his arrow at the zombie that Luminmorn swung his blad at. Lingo Fires arrow Att,BaseDam,SneakDam,Hide Neptune rolled 1d20+5,1d6+3,2d6,1d20+7 and got 23, 5, 8, 15
Lingo fires his bow, and the Zombie in the doorway crumples to the floor.
Bern then changes his aim from the Zombie in the doorway to one of the Zombies huddled in the rear of the room. He fires, and strikes the Zombie a solid blow to the chest. Interestingly there is no puff of ash from this hit.
Immediately it stops huddling in fright of Ryssa, and with an angry slavering glare it charges the doorway, attacking Luminmorn who is blocking it's way. It's fists strike ineffectually against the Dragonborn's armour.
Balthazar is next, followed by the rest of you. The Zombies have 22 hps so once another 6 points of damage are done to Zombie #1 the next persons needs to tell me if they are still attacking, and which one.
Zombie Attack Luminmorn Zeim rolled d20+3 and got 13
The cleric nocked another arrow and aimed at the zombie which had attacked Luminmorn but, if it fell first, instead she stepped forward and left just enough to attack the zombie farthest to the left along the back wall.
Ryssa Hit/Damage Z1 or Z5: 1d20+4,1d8+3 = 24,11 - What a roll!
