[[ Dash is actually a single action. You can use it instead of your attack. So you move and dash to do a double move. Lingo also gets to dash as a bonus action which gives him a triple move. ]]
Her eyes darted left and right, halting on the bearded man at the far door. The staff of glass along with the dripping bag concerned her; she did not want to let him get away or to use the staff to attack her friends.
Ryssa grasped her holy icon in her left hand and made a small circling gesture with her right hand. She muttered a brief prayer to Lathander.
"Svežite mu, oh gospodar svjetlosti."
She thrust her right hand toward the bearded man, pointing, and then snapped her hand closed into a tight fist.
[OOC: Bind him, Oh Lord of Light (Cast Hold Person)]
Ryssa focuses on the bearded man holding the staff, trying to freeze him in place. He grins as the spell slides off him with no effect.
Iarno Save Zeim rolled d20+1 and got 21
The Redbrands strike next. The two swordsmen strike at Lingo, who is up front. Both strike twice with their swords and 3 of the strikes hit (Lingo takes 15 points of damage).
The two archers fire at Bern and Luminmorn. The arrow on Bern misses but the one against the Dragonborn hits (Luminmorn takes 5 points of damage).
DM - MikeD - No. You may not stop in a square that contains a member of your party. You may pass thru it only. As the route past is blocked, in this case, your only choices are to move into the square with the barrels (which is difficult terrain and I'd need a successful DC 12 Acrobatics check to not fall), or to use a bow. You can redo your turn and make new rolls.
DM - Ken - Bodies don't block LOS. They can provide cover (AC bonus) in some circumstances. You can see R1, R2, & IA from where you are. Also keep in mind IA is 20 feet higher than you.
The opposing mage is the biggest danger at the moment so Balthazar casts forth a Chromatic Orb of Acid at him, one hand thrown up, fingers splayed as the sickly green orb goes shooting out toward the mage.
Lingo Being involved in hand-to-hand combat is not something he's keen on. So he disengages from combat, slips behind Bern and then up onto the barrels where can use range attacks and he then tries to help them slumber. Even if he drops one of them, it'll lessen the chances of them causing harm. Disengage bonus action Moves to F7 atop the barrels. Lingo Casts sleep Neptune rolled 5d8 and got 18
Bern, not being able to reach the Redbrands with his sword, takes out his bow and fires, but the arrow goes wide. Luminmorn hurls a Javelin back across at one of the archers who fired at him and hits. Balthazar hurls a green Orb of acid at the mage but it misses. A moment later, Lingo moves away from the swordsmen and climbing onto the barrels casts a Sleep spell. The wounded Redbrand drops straight to the ground.
(Neptune - Make an Acrobatics check for Lingo to see if he falls off the unsteady barrels.)
The mage, in his turn, points a finger and waves his hand, his mouth moving over unheard syllables.
(Pande - Make a Wisdom Saving Throw for Luminmorn. DC=13)
Disappointed that her spell of holding failed and wanting to save spells for healing if needed, Ryssa quickly nocked an arrow, aimed and fired at the mage across the room.
She cursed under her breath when her arrow missed.
Ryssa's arrow misses the mage and the Redbrands act. The one remaining archer targets Bern (Redbrand Arrow Attack on Bern, Zeim rolled d20+4 and got 11), but misses, while the two swordsmen move up to attack . The first one clambers on top of the barrels trying to attack Lingo (Redbrand Acrobatics, Zeim rolled d20+2 and got 8), but the barrel wobbles and he topples to the ground (Prone), losing his attack. The second swordsman moves up and strikes at Bern (Redbrand Multi-Attack, Zeim rolled d20+4,d20+4 and got 5, 12), but both swings miss.
Bern is up followed by Luminmorn, Balthazar, and Lingo. Note that Luminmorn can only make another Wisdom save versus DC-13 as his action for the round.
He had been wondering how he was going to get at the fellow around the corner. Apparently they were not the best strategists since they just provided him the perfect opportunity. Dropping his bow, he pulled his sword and took a shot at them both ...
Horde Breaker: make a 2nd attack against 2nd foe w/in 5' Bern Horde Breaker MikeD rolled d20+5,d20+5,d8+3,d8+3 and got 22, 7, 4, 9
I find it interesting that out of 4 rolls I got a 1 and a 2. Never seem to get that sort of 'luck' on the other end of the scale <sigh>
