The door opens to an empty room, clearly a bedchamber. The walls are covered with drapes of scarlet cloth. The furniture includes a small writing desk with matching chair, a comfortable looking bed, and a small wooden chest at the foot of the bed.
The large dragonborn proceeds carefully into the room. Their quarry had been in there which meant either he still was or he went out a door they couldn't see yet. He would be wary either way.
The last time Ryssa had stayed out in the hall while her companions rushed into a room, it had almost cost her dearly, so this time she followed Lingo inside and helped him search.
Lingo and Ryssa search the room. On the desk is a letter, signed with a symbol of a Black Spider:
Quote:
Lord Albrek,
My spies in Neverwinter tell me that strangers are due to arrive in Phandalin. They could be working for the dwarves. Capture them if you can, kil them if you must, but don't allow them to upset our plans. See that any dwarven maps in their possession are delivered to me with haste. I'm counting on you, Iarno. Don't disappoint me.
The room is otherwise filled with clothing of expensive style and miscellaneous personal effects of no value. In the trunk at the foot of the bed, which has a lock but is clearly unlocked, Lingo and Ryssa find:
180 sp 130 gp A silk pouch containing 5 carnelians @ 10 gp each 2 Peridots @ 15 gp each 1 Pearl @ 100 gp
Bern looks along the walls for another exit from the room, certain he'd heard someone in here, and behind one of the scarlet drapes he finds a Secret Door left partially ajar.
It was easy to think that he was feigning interest because he only glanced at the page for a moment before turning back to all the loot. He was taking note of what they found and the jewels and coins seemed to matter more to him than the mission-critical information they had found.
"Looks like whoever was here isn't here anymore. So you think that rat was a wizard's pet?"
[[ Hmmm I would be interested to know what you had to do to get it to work, Nep <g> We can do it here ... so zeim will also know or do it in PM ... which ever works best for you ]]
[[ I changed it from a URL to an IMG. The link in the URL is not the image but rather a php program and since it was a URL it was always a going to be a link. ]]
I uploaded the image to the Gallery and tried doing it as an IMG first. All I got was the text for the IMG file and it didn't display, so I went to the URL.
Key has always seemed to be that you need to have a website, which I do not have.
You should be able to upload it to the library and then get the absolute address by right clicking on the image. Speaking in ancient-geek, the URL is an indirect link to the the image because it creates a link to it and the IMG is an absolute address. I just changed it to use the DreamLyrics image to prove that point.
Oh, and I once gave you FTP access to my server. I can double-check if it's still active and if not give it to you once again.
What Nep said. The 'default' link you get here is really to a script for displaying the image. The 'img' tag can't translate that. It is expecting the location of a displayable image.
The 'trick' is to go to the gallery after you upload the image and Right Click on the actual image and select 'Copy Image Location'. Then you can paste =that= between the 'img' tags. One other 'note'. If you do the 'right click' from the gallery itself, you will get the 'small' version of the image. Click on the image to open that window and then if you 'right click', you will get a 'medium' sized version. Finally, if you drill all the way down and 'right click', you will get the full sized version of the image.
Did that make any sense Zeim? Try it and paste the copied URLs into notepad or similar. You should see things like the following:
h t t p : / / w w w . dreamlyrics.com/forums/gallery/491/thumbs/8183.jpg
h t t p : / / w w w . dreamlyrics.com/forums/gallery/491/medium/8183.jpg
h t t p : / / w w w . dreamlyrics.com/forums/gallery/491/full/8183.jpg
Notice that the only difference is after the 'gallery number', 491 in this case, where you see thumb, medium or full.
