He was frustrated, annoyed, and generally unhappy with his new weapon. But he didn't feel like giving up on it yet. The dragonborn didn't want to change weapons in the middle of a fight. He also hoped his associates would take care of the one trying to get away or get reinforcements. Either choice was not what Luminmorn wanted. He brought his weapon down in a frustrated swing with remarkable effect.

Att 25, Dmg 14 OOC: If he is dead before Luminmorn strikes, then the dragonborn will charge after the one trying to get away.

OK, as I read things Ryssa goes first and moves away, giving the Redbrand an OA.

Redbrand OA
Zeim rolled d20+4,d20+4,d20+4,d20+4 and got 17, 10, 11, 9

He misses on both attacks. Ryssa heals herself back to full health.

Next, Bern tries to attacks the far runner (Will give you a choice, MikeD. You can move left, and try to get an angled shot on his and attack with Disadvantage on your turn, OR you can delay until after Luminmorn kills the one in the doorway and then run out into the hallway and get a normal attack.)

Balthazar tries to kill the one blocking the door, but misses him. However, Luminmorn's strike nearly cleaves him in two.

Bern moves up to Z2 and fires at the Ruffian, but misses. The Redbrand, panicking now, runs headfirst into the door. Bouncing off and shaking his head he reaches down and open it, then steps out into the hallway that is revealed beyond.

As for the Goblin, there is no Perception roll needed to notice him. Not only did you all see him crawl under the bed, but he is whimpering and sniffling so you can hear him.

Back to the top. Everyone goes before the Redbrand but Lingo. Only Bern is in range of a HTH attack. Anyone else would need to move to where they have LOS and shoot a missile.

He sees the man fall with a sickening thud and nods as if finally things went the way they were supposed to. He charges after the last fleeing Redband hoping to prevent his escape.

OK, here's what happens. Luminmorn runs up and hurls a Javelin at the fleeing Redbrand. The Javelin goes into, and thru, the man and pins him against the far door with a loud thunk!

From the other side of the door you can hear a voice. Everyone make a Perception roll to see if you can make out what it says.

Inside the room, Ryssa instructs the Goblin to come out with a stern tone. There is a loud squeak! and a scrabbling as the Goblin backs up and presses himself into the wall. "No kill Droop! Droop not here! No one is here. Just mice. Yes. Just little mice! Shhhhhh!"

In room 10 you can see this is some sort of common room. Several worn tables and chairs are scattered around this large room. Wooden benches are drawn up against walls decorated with draperies of brown and red, several kegs of ale are propped up and tapped.

The four humans you killed were all wearing scarlet cloaks and there is a stack of coins and some dice on the table. Seemingly you interrupted their drunken dice game.

Quickly searching both room 9 and 10 you find:

75 cp
88 sp
22 ep
15 gp
1 gold earing with a small ruby (30 gp)
1 eyepatch of black leather with semi-precious stones (50 gp)

1 large iron key

Now.

Everyone gets to Level up to 3rd Level!!!!!

Please update your pcs sheets for 3rd level. Roll hps or take the average rounded up plus your Con bonus. Add your new spells/powers. Let me know when you're done so I can double check. it.

While you are doing that we will see the results of the Perception check (above) and you can also question/talk to Droop, heal, or other. However we will wait for further exploration until all the level ups have been completed.

In the room, a smallish Goblin head peeks out from under the bed, carefully looking around. Seeing Ryssa, he offers a shy smile and holds out his hands, palms up.

No, you get all new spells and powers now, minus anything you've used. So if you used to get 3 spells per day and you used 2 and now you get 4 spells per day then you have 2 left instead of 1.
