Ryssa staggers from the sword blows, but manages to move back into the room. Bern fires an arrow into the hallway and strikes the lead Redbrand. Balthazar gestures and waves his hand and the lead and trailing Redbrand topple over.
The large dragonborn opens his mouth wide and breaths a cone of lighting down the hall at all the drunken Redbands.
DC 10 DC 9 Dmg Thankfully they are drunk. Did the damage roll to facilitate. Not sure if it is one, or multipules. Cone is 5'x30'. Should hit all of them. If necessary. Luminmorn can move first, stepping forward to the door way. I want to try and hit them all. Luminmorn Breath Lighting Dmg on Drunk Redbands Pandemonium rolled 2d6 and got 9

(OOC - Thanks for the link, Nep, but in this case it doesn't apply as Lightning is a 'Line' and not a 'Cone'. Pande, also note the DC for your Breath Weapon 12, not 10. It is 8+CON+Prof Bonus. Your CON modifier is +2 and so is your Prof Bonus. 8+2+2=12.)
The Dragonborn opens his mouth and a line of Lightning shoots down the hallway.
The two Sleeping Redbrands are automatically hit for 9. The other two get Saves w/Disadvantage for being drunk
Redbrands Save Zeim rolled d20+2,d20+2,d20+2,d20+2 and got 9, 16, 11, 11
So those two are also hit for 9.
The lead Redbrand dies in his sleep. The last Redbrand takes damage and is awoken from slumber but is prone.
The second Redbrand pushes forward, and steps ahead into the room where he blinks a bit in astonishment at being surrounded by 4 pcs. However he picks a target and attacks.
Redbrand #2 Choose Target - Ba, Li, Lu, Ry Zeim rolled d4 and got 4 (Chooses Ryssa)
Redbrand #2 Attacxk Ryssa Zeim rolled d20+2,d20+2,d20+2,d20+2 and got 11, 13, 4, 19 (It misses on both swings)
Redbrand #3 moves up, but can't attack around the "hard" corner. Redbrand #4 stands up, sways a bit, and shuffles down the corridor after his friends.
(OOC - There is no Advantage given for multiple attacks on the same creature. Except for Lingo, who gets it as a special Power for his class. Flanking could give you Advantage, but that doesn't apply here.)
(OOC: Oh I am betting you know better than I do. Just had it in my head from many versions of DnD over the years that multiple attackers configured a flanking bonus. Too distracted to defend against all of them as well as they might wish. But I can't say I have read it in this version. I will have to look, but I trust you. Just need to do a hard reset of my DnD subroutines to get out the old junk. ;))
[OOC: So I found the rules for helping another character. In 5e, there is no Flanking bonus per say. But if a character helps another character, ie gives up his action to set up the opponent, then the person who was helped gains advantage.
By way of example. Had Luminmorn Helped, ie not attacked. Then the PC he helped would gain advantage on their attack roll. That is the only overt bonus.
GM call on the situation though. So in this situation where many people are pounding on one guy. He might be at a Disadvantage or the PCs at an advantage, GM's call.
Thanks for forcing me to go figure it out. This is exactly why I am playing this game.
And here is the text referring to Help if anyone wants to read it. Help You can lend your aid to another creature in the completion of a task. When you take the Help action, the creature you aid gains advantage on the next ability check it makes to perform the task you are helping with, provided that it makes the check before the start of your next turn. Alternatively, you can aid a friendly creature in attacking a creature within 5 feet of you. You feint, distract the target, or in some other way team up to make your ally’s attack more effective. If your ally attacks the target before your next turn, the first attack roll is made with advantage.]

Pande - Absolutely correct. I have a higher level version of Kallista I play in a FTF (via Roll20) who has an Imp Familiar. The Imp could make it's own attack on Kallista's turn but instead I use it to distract/help her against her target. So all her attacks are always at Advantage.
BTW, Flanking is listed in the DMG (page 251) as an "Optional" Rule. It works like it always has, you need to have two or more pcs on opposite sides of a foe.
She could tell she was badly wounded, but was afraid this was not the time for retreat or casting a healing spell - either way, she'd be leaving the drunken Redbrand open to attack her.
Pulling her dagger and murmuring a short request for aid from her deity, Ryssa stabbed at the man. Her dagger made contact, but she was afraid she'd only nicked the man.
Hit/Dam R2: 1d20+4,1d4 = 15,1 + 2 (DEX) = 3

[[ According to the PHB pg196, "when attacking with a weapon, you add your ability modifier - the same modifier used for the attack roll- to the damage" ]]
The one in the back (#4), in a sudden moment of lucidity, decides **This is idiotic. We are moving one by one into certain death.** He turns and moves back into the room he came from. He doesn't bother to close the door behind him and those who look can see he seems to be headed for a door across the room.
The halfling moves out of the room, ducking through the legs of the ruffian in the doorway and then, from behind, stabs the man who is dealing with the dragonborn on the other side.
Lingo Attack R3 advantage and then stealth Neptune rolled 1d20+5,1d20+5,1d6+3,1d6,1d20+7 and got 20, 20, 5, 1, 8
move was to C2
OOC: I'm heading for London today. Zeim, you might need to ghost away for Lingo for two weeks while I wind my way through Europe.
Lingo moves to C2 and stabs the Ruffian. He hits, but doesn't kill him.
We are back to the top. Ryssa, Bern, Balthazar, and Luminmorn.
Situation: One in the room at D2 surrounded by 4 pcs. The other one is moving away thru Room 10 towards the far door. No idea if he is simply fleeing, going for help, etc. At this point that one (#4) can only be attacked by missiles. The Goblin, hoping he has been forgotten about is still huddling under the bed.
