[[ it's just a scratch ... i'm not dead yet! <g> ]]
<Bern>
They appeared equally damaged, but the one that just connected had more folks on him, so he was the obvious choice to concentrate on. Beside he just hit him.
Bern attack b2 again MikeD rolled d20+5,d8+3 and got 24, 4

He moves over to atop the other cot and fires off another firebolt at the bugbear to the left of Bern, hoping to put it down before it can swing at the badly wounded ranger.
She could see that the ranger was badly wounded, but there was no way she could see that she could get to him - the room was just too crowded. She had to try and kill the enemies and then rush to Bern's side.
Of course, considering how bad her aim had been, she might just hit Bern herself.
She nocked another arrow, aimed and fired at the bugbear along the back wall of the room.
Hit/Damage B3: 1d20+4,1d6+3 = 8.8
[OOC: I hereby officially join the I Hate This Dice Roller Club]
Ryssa misses once more, and with wry amusement she notices that her arrows have made a nice grouping stuck in the wall behind the Bugbear. A moment later both Bern and Balthazar's attacks strike the Bugbear almost simultaneously, from opposite sides. That Bugbear howls in anger and lashes out at Bern.
Bugbear #2 Choose who to attack 1=Bern 2= Luminmorn Zeim rolled d2 and got 1
Bugbear #2 Atttack Bern Zeim rolled d20+4 and got 17
It's morningstar strikes Bern hard across his chest, sending the Ranger flying into the wall, where he slumps down unconscious.
Bern takes 11 point of damage.
The other Bugbear, the one with the eyepatch, shouts, "Now Mosk finish you!" He steps forward, knocking the bunkbed out of the way and moves around Behind Luminmorn and strikes at him, connecting with a solid blow.
Bugbear #3 Attack Luminmorn Zeim rolled d20+4 and got 19
Luminmorn takes 11 points of damage.
The Goblin on the floor opens it's eyes, rolls over, squeaks loudly, and scrambles underneath one of the bunks nearby, quivering in terror.
xxx Perception Zeim rolled d20-1,d20-1 and got 8, 13
He howls and turns on his heel. He gives the bugbear a glimpse at his open maw and swings with renewed fervor. He calls upon the power of the Great Dragon and calls down its power upon his blow against the leader bugbear.
Lingo Ducking and hiding around the dragonborn, the halfling pokes at the bugbear that has really hurt his friend Bern. The blade slips through the bugbears defenses and finds flesh, drawing more blood.
Lingo Attacks B2 with Advantage (2nd d20 for flank) and will stealth again. Neptune rolled 1d20+5,1d20+5,1d6+3,1d6,1d20+7 and got 21, 24, 7, 2, 24
Both Luminmorn's and Lingo's attacks hit and do damage. The Bugbear that put Bern down is killed by the halfling, and Luminmorn lands a solid blow on the leader. The Goblin continues to cower under the bed, whimpering.
We are back to the top. Ryssa, Bern, and Balthazar.
(OOC - Miked - You need to wait for Ryssa to go as Bern will either be able to act or will need to make his first death save, depending on what Ryssa does.)
(Ex - Sure. You would have to offer B3 an Opportunity Attack as you passed by him though. Or, you could use the Healing Spell (Healing Word) that you can do at Range and that doesn't require Touch, if you picked it.)
Clutching her holy icon of Lathander the Even Handed in her left hand, she pointed her index finger toward the ranger where he lay and muttered, "Sanat!" A pale green light glowed briefly over his wounds.
(Ken - I don't recall anything about that either. On the plus side, you don't offer Opportunity Attacks by casting while adjacent to a foe.)
Ryssa, having seen Bern drop to the Bugbear's attack. focuses a spell of healing on him, casting it from where she is.
The warmth of healing washes over Bern and rolling to his feet he sees the last Bugbear is 10 feet away so as he takes a deep breath to steady himself from waking he fires his bow, and hits.
Balthazar's attack misses.
The Bugbear decides to strike at the larger of the two foes facing him, and swings his mornigstar at Luminmorn, but misses him badly.
Lingo The halfling climbs on the bed and was getting ready to attack the bugbear from behind, but Luminmorn got to it first, frustrating the little guy. So, instead of trying to kill something, he immediately turned his attention to the shiny eye-patch and then began scouring the room for shiny baubles and trinkets.
(OOC - Well, Luminmorn goes first, and the Bugbear is close to death, so lets see if he kills it first. If not, Lingo has killed it. If Luminmorn does kill it, Lingo can do something else with his turn.)
Luminmorn's attack drops the Bugbear leader, who collapses with a groan onto the floor. There is a sharp squeak that comes from under the bed in the far corner, and a shuffling noise as the Goblin tries to make himself invisible by squeezing as far up against the wall as he can.
Lingo was about to stab the Bugbear but seeing him drop he continues moving closer, now however, his goal is to examine the jeweled eyepatch the leader wore.
Just about that moment, the door behind Ryssa slams open and a drunken, slurred, voice comes from that direction, followed by rushing footsteps.
"Who in the <hiccup> hells d'ya think you are, coming in here? No one ask'ded you!"
A group of men comes barreling out of the northern room, brandishing swords. They sway drunkenly and the reek of alcohol is almost more threatening to Ryssa than their attacks. The leader staggers forward, and somehow both of his sword swings connect. (Note: As Ryssa was using her bow and spells I have her as not having her shield prepared so am using AC15).
Redbrands Initiative Zeim rolled d20+2,d20+2 and got 22, 8
Redbrand1 Attack Ryssa Zeim rolled d20+4,d20+4,d20+4,d20+4 and got 18, 15, 18, 18 Both attacks hit. Ryssa takes 10 points of damage.
We are up at the top of the order. Ryssa goes first.
(OOC - Ex - There is no 5' Step in 5e. If you move away from the foe you will grant it an Opportunity Attack. Just want to verify that's what you want to do? Your other choice is to use the "Disengage" action. That lets you move away from the foe without granting an OA, but it counts as a full action so you would get no attack.)
(OOC - Ken - You need to roll. At your level, Sleep affects 5d8 worth of Hit Points.)
[OOC For Luminmorn's action. I need to know if there is a clear line between him and the drunken Redbands. IE without a PC in the way. Once that is clear I can post. Going to see how his breath weapon works. )
