Last time we created a bit of a voting frenzy (54 votes) by allowing multiple votes, but the spread didn't look out of kilter compared to previous surveys. So I think it's worthwhile.
This time you have 2 votes. So a first choice and a second choice.It was interesting to see Erotic get a few votes, but it is one of those ambiguous genres that has many subgenres and can be hard to pin down. I remember reading Richard Morgan's
Altered Carbon recently and raising an eyebrow at the raunchy sex scenes, yet no-one would ever class it as anything other than a cyberpunk/near future/sci-fi. You can then come across some erotica that isn't explicit at all, but never strays from the subject of sex.
I guess all genres suffer the same abiguity somewhere along the way. Really it's just a method of ad hoc labelling. For the most part it's entirely useful...

Yes, I've inverted the selection so Fantasy is no longer at the top.
