He wears Leather and uses a Shield with no Dex bonus. Still, that's ridiculous. He is proficient in heavy armor and haven't we had numerous opportunities to purchase regular armor better than Leather? | | | | | Joined: May 2000 Posts: 19,031 Likes: 13 Moderator | OP Moderator Joined: May 2000 Posts: 19,031 Likes: 13 | I guess his shield wasn't equipped, which kind of makes sense when he was on his horse but as for what he owns, I'm sure the co-DM could have stocked himself better . I guess it's a good thing for him to put on his to-do list.

If you’re able to make multiple attacks with the Attack action, this attack replaces one of them. The target must be no more than one size larger than you and must be within your reach. Instead of making an attack roll, you make a Strength (Athletics) check contested by the target’s Strength (Athletics) or Dexterity (Acrobatics) check (the target chooses the ability to use). If you win the contest, you either knock the target prone or push it 5 feet away from you. As a bear he gets a bite and claw attacks, so if it would make more sense to use the claw attack as his shove attempt instead, then I will roll the damage for a bite attack instead on barbarian B3. | | | | | Joined: May 2000 Posts: 19,031 Likes: 13 Moderator | OP Moderator Joined: May 2000 Posts: 19,031 Likes: 13 | That's more correct

It's more a flavor-type thing. Personally I think the trait is useless as written. It doesn't help with Hide mechanics at all and I still have only a 65% chance of success with or without it. It's only relevant in "lightly obscured" environments and I'm not sure you actually define how many grid squares into the forest are lightly obscured vs. more. Meanwhile, Zindra rolling <away> from me doesn't make my job constantly reviving her easier | | |
