I’ve tried to upload a picture of Tedted at work, but despite my best efforts and asking Gypsy for help, I just can’t seem to do it. I’m going to see if I can cheat my way around it at the end of this message. I’ll give it to him, he as doing a fantastic job until one def sent him off his chair like he’s just fired a blast off from the woozie.

Hate to say this, but mine is not either. It was also sent in on Friday.

Incorrect Definition rules will apply for Mina and Miales this round. As long as they can prove they submitted definitions

Good thing the Woodshed is gone. I don't think even Tedted could have saved me this time.

I truly am sorry. But look at the bright side. You won't be dealing next round. (By way of paltry and meager excuse, this probably happened because I was more focused on trying to get Tedted's picture uploaded. I truly am sorry)


What do the rules say about missing or incorrect definitions?

Mackey <big hugs> I am not worried about it at all. Like you said, this is a round I don't have to worry I will win Please don't worry about it. I honestly am not. Again <big hugs>!

We love you Mouse... good things we have systems in plaxe... Heck not near as bad as when I put the wrong def in for Maiden... She won the deal with what I picked.

Just checked the rules and there is nothing to cover missing defs. I have a vague memory that they got an average score from that game but would like agreement so I can add that to the rules.

Basing it off when I posted the wrong def for Maiden a couple of games ago. Mouse posted like Mina and I didn't submit so technically it is true since he didn'tpost the correct definitionfor us. And yes it would be the average.

If there's precedent I won't complain about average, but as a statistician I think the median would be a better choice.

Average can be skewed by outliers (really high scores) while median puts the missing def squarely in the middle of all the players.

Take for example Round 18 (HPCOS). The average score is 63/7 = 9. But four players scored under 9. A better choice would be 6. It's also easier to calculate.

And since I did math, shouldn't the sum of all scores be a multiple of 6? The scores totaled 63.

Aqua Average is Total points divided by # of voters. Not # of players. So normally 6 to 7 points

Whenever I have made a goof like this in the past, I generally awarded the average for points. That was why I let Tedted keep the woozie, so he could protect me from JimZ, Lola and the woodshed. And that was what I was planning on once it was discovered that I fumbled on the one yard line.

I think awarding the average is the right thing to do, IMHO.

P.S. I have confiscated the woozie from Tedted and have it safely secured. (well, for the time being).

I just feel bad that I messed up and skewed the results. <sadface>
