Interest Check: Platform 9¾
I was looking around recently at the games currently running and thought to myself that there might be room for at least few more adventures.
Because of that, I’ve been thinking about bringing back Platform 9¾, an RPG set in the wizarding world quite a bit after the events of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
Some of you may remember the game from a previous run.
Unfortunately, at the time I had to step away from GM’ing due to real-life obligations and lack of time.
The good news is that those circumstances have changed, and I would love to revisit the game and give it the run it deserves - with some revamped rules to make things easier on me and a bit clearer for everyone (I hope).
Right now this is simply an interest check to see who might want to step through the barrier with me.
The game will follow First Year students arriving at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
Players will experience the wonder of discovering the castle, learning spells, meeting classmates (friends! rivals! hated enemies!), and navigating the strange and sometimes chaotic life of young witches and wizards.
But while life inside Hogwarts is filled with moving staircases, mischievous ghosts, enchanted portraits, and late-night adventures in the corridors - The world outside the castle walls may not be as peaceful as it once was.
The Happily Ever After of the Potter books didn't last as long as everyone hoped.
For now, however, the train still departs from Platform Nine and Three-Quarters, and a new class of students is preparing to begin their journey.
If there’s enough interest, I’ll put together a full recruitment post with more details about character creation (yes some things have changed) and the current state of the Wizarding World.
For the moment though -
I’m simply curious.
Any witches or wizards interested in climbing aboard the train?
