You are going to be teenaged, because that’s who lives in the compound. You’ve likely lived there either all or most of your life. It’s possible you were kidnapped young, or acquired otherwise. You could be Mexican or likely from the US over the border. His tentacles extend far, you could even have been kidnapped from farther afield.
You have a power, whether you had it to begin with and it was modified or it was given to you. That power comes with a flaw. Something doesn’t quite work right, or there is a penalty or cost. You were raised in the compound, it’s almost like a dormitory full of kids left largely to themselves apart from occasionally being grabbed and modified, and sometimes tested or trained. However due to your raw you were usually not permanently used.
