However, I'm a big fan of musical theatre, and the musical Wicked has been reinterpreted in two films, Wicked (released last year) and Wicked: For Good (releasing this week!). There are some double-feature screenings on Thursday midday, but my work schedule doesn't accommodate. But Mrs. Aqua and I have obtained early access tickets for Wednesday evening.... and in order to prepare, we're watching the first movie as I type these words. I'm so happy I could melt. Anyway. In honor of defying gravity, I went in search of an Oz-related acronym. O.Z. is actually an acronym as is G.A. and U.P., but nothing longer is canonical. However, having recently returned from a cruise vacation I recall that on previous cruises, there have been gatherings for Friends of Dorothy (F.O.D.), welcoming members of the LGBTQ+ community. Fortunately, in recent years there has been less need for obfuscation. FOD also has a meaning in the aviation community for "foreign object debris" found on runways, which could interfere with flight. Likely not broom flight, but I digress. Anyway... FOD is your acronym! GO!

I'm 2.5 hours from the nearest venue, so no season tickets, but I did buy tickets for The Outsiders when they come to Memphis. We've known one of the cast members since he was three.

It was awesome. 🧙‍♀️🧹 Like the musical, the first half (first movie) was better. But they did a fantastic job. First movie: character development. Second movie: deep conflict and resolution. First time I saw a film in the new IMAX Laser 3D format as well, that was crazy good. Will probably watch it again this weekend, maybe scheduling a back-to-back with the first one!
