I'd been waiting to post this, but the preparation has been consuming a lot of my free time (as Miales' nag notes have confirmed) so may as well post this now.

I'll be on vacation from October 13-30. Yes, it's a long vacation. Yes, it's the first time I've been able to take extended travel during the school year since I'm now officially an "empty nester". And the pre-vacation week is making me earn the dang thing.

Details on current month:
- Oct 13: Flight before sunrise. Why did I pick this flight? May finish up stuff in airports, mostly to close out anything needing closed out.
- Oct 14-17: Mouse. Will occasionally update stuff but will be slow. There's a Wine & Dine festival at Epcot and I'll be Wining and Dining.
- Oct 18-19: (Mouse-owned) Beach. Will avoid updating stuff but might from my phone if bored. Or might just stare at waves because unplugging is good.
- Oct 20-24: (Mouse-ship) Ocean. Won't update 💩. Really. If you see me post during these days, yell at me.
- Oct 25: Mouse + Race Expo. Might update on phone just to see if anything's urgent. Which it probably won't be.
- Oct 26: Mouse Half Marathon that I haven't trained for, but the medal is Lady & the Tramp. Followed by dinner at Tony's Town Square Restaurant where Mrs. Aqua and I dined first on our honeymoon and did the noodle slurp thing.

- Oct 27-29: Mouse with friends. Probably won't care about updating at this point.
- Oct 30: Fly home. Might try to catch up in airport but will probably miss stuff.
- Oct 31: Day off at home. Will really try to catch up then, whilst hiding from trick-or-treaters.

Barry's surgery went well and he's awake and talking.

Busy weekend coming up, guests from Friday, FTF Saturday and out at friends all day Sunday.

Vacation redux:
- Woke up at 3am for an early flight. One of the pilots didn't show. Fortunately the app let us re-book on a nonstop (arriving earlier) and as luck would have it, they used a bigger aircraft and we got a free upgrade into lie flat seats. Nice start to vacation!
- First few days at Mouse: mostly just unplugged and relaxed, did a few hours of wining and dining and a lot of sleeping. A lot. I didn't know I could sleep 12 hours a night for multiple nights.
- Few days at the beach even more unplugged. Pretty awesome.
- Ocean stuff. Awesome. 'Nuff said.
- Half Marathon: I finished. I got the Lady & Tramp bling. I should stop doing stupid stuff like this.
- Mouse with Friends: Awesome 3 1/2 days doing All The Things.
- Fly Home: exhausted. And found out I was on call this weekend. Welcome home, I guess.
- Hid from trick or treaters but was stressing about fixing an outage of your favorite blue circle voice assistant that got extra load on Halloween, whilst dealing with an animated dragon making noise outside my office window, dogs barking at trick or treaters, and a baby (visiting friend whose kids snarf candy in our neighborhood) crying. Oh, well, all's done.
- Still on call but it's slower and I think I'm caught up here.

Sounds fun... Sure you don't want to take another few weeks?
