Baseball, to be precise, which is an American variation of cricket, because we're rebels and can't do anything the Brits do. Anyway, my sportsball team (Seattle Mariners) just lost after having a 10 game winning streak. While mildly disappointing, the 10-game streak was more fun because of how it started. The Mariners had just lost four straight games, and six out of the last seven. A fan, in desperation, hired a witch on Etsy for $20 to cast a spell to "get their act together and start winning baseball games again.". Apparently the spell worked, for a time. Anyway, during tonight's game I saw the acronym GIDP on the TV, as something a batter had done previously, and I had to look it up. It apparently stands for "Grounded Into Double Play". No, it's not a good thing. But maybe you can make it a good thing? Toss me your GIDP acronyms!
