Aubric joins the group as well, taking the opportunity to note, to no one in particular, “I suspect we could probably ask about this hunt and decide whether we want to avoid it or … possibly choose to get involved on our own terms.”

"I can stay here with the horses", he offers.

Zhu

"I'll wait with Bern."

Kriv

Giant heads?

His interest piqued, the noble went with.

Arus

He nods to Zhu and Bern, then gives Pavel a significant look before following the dwarf. Accompanied by Kriv too, Arus is confident they can handle any trouble long enough for the rest to reinforce.

"Lords?" he asks Mulnobar aloud, "I thought Noanar's Hold is a castellany?"

Arus glances back to see how Pavel's doing with his Tenser's Disc. Like Kriv, Arus has noted giant heads and will broach it next.

Castellan
"Ha! You thought this is my place? I just take care of things for the Lords. Do you think I need five fancy horse harnesses? My feet get me around good enough," the dwarf answers. "I just handle things for them."

Aubric

As Aubric listens to Amarath talk about the lords, he thinks back to moments ago when the castellan called out to the lords inside the keep. It didn't register at the time, but he remembers his earlier thought when the stablehand said no one would see them... because they were out on the hunt.

He brings it up, casually, leaving an opening for Amarath to reply but making a statement rather than asking a question should the answer prove sensitive. "We almost didn't come up here today because people in town indicated the Lords were out with the hunt. But you just announced our arrival to them. I suppose the townsfolk were misinformed? I'll admit nearly everything about this hunt has been hard to get further information on."

Pavel

He follows Arus and the castellan the floating disc keeping pace with him. At the news of giant's heads his eyes widen a bit but he remains composed and concentrates on keeping the disc moving.

Davroar

Davroar feels he is unneeded to off-load the wagons contents with Pavel's magic disc;s being used, so he will hang out with front with Bern.

Jaliera

She too stays with the group at the front, more so because she thinks that if they are splitting, that is better done more evenly.

Zindra

"I'm going to see what's up back there," she says to those staying with the horses.

DM
Those heading after the dwarf hear him reply to Aubric, "The Hunt Lords organize the hunts but they're inside. The hunters are out already. There were two teams but both teams thought there were three. Odd."

The group gets around back and they all reach a door.

Arus

A well placed question from Aubric. No doubt the mistaken third party of hunters is their own party.

Riding around the bowers, bushwhacking and beheading giantfolk sounds like an extraordinarily bad idea to Arus. The giantfolk aren't likely to take it sportingly.

"There must be a lot of giantfolk hereabouts if the teams can rack up points." he remarks to the castellan.

Pavel

Pavel stays with Arus. He smirks slightly as the castellan makes his remarks about the hunting teams but remains silent.

DM
After a rainy night, the hoofprints in the dirt were pretty clear and when the dwarf opened the door to the musty room beyond the astute heroes all noted the prints entering the room and then there were no more hoof prints.

And it wasn't a stable. It looked more like an armory or a dark storage room. Spider webs clung from ceiling to floor around the walls. Dusty spears and shields were set up in racks. It doesn't appear that they've been used in many years.

"You can put them there," the dwarf indicated as he pointed to bare spot on the floor just to the left of the door, under a giant web, next to a shield rack.

Pavel

Pavel was extremely wary of and studying the cobwebs especially the giant web. In an abundance of caution, he casts Unseen Servant and directs the entity to carry the crate to the spot indicated by the castellan.

As his servant works he studies the giant web watching for any movement.

Once the crate is delivered he'll dispell both spells.

Arus

With Pavel manoeuvring the package into place by magic, Arus gives the castellan a slight shrug.

"Special delivery." he says with a charming smile.
