I'm here and ok and occasionally posting but am way behind on a lot of things, due to: - Boss on vacation for 3 weeks and dealing with expanded responsibilities at work on my day job
- Major version release (day job) with all its headaches increased leadership interest due to the fiasco of the last time in spite of an unattainable schedule (and personally working the weekend so my direct reports don't have to 'cause I'm that kind of a manager who doesn't make people work weekends and I have no life anyway)
- Took over as Treasurer of a nonprofit and dealing with learning both new software (QuickBooks) and the actual details of accounting and auditing the old guy's books and resolving questions, finding missed payments (and my own mistakes) and trying to produce a Q2 report
- Got a new side gig doing something for the government that someone else is still being paid to do but not having to work thanks to DOGE cuts and voluntary "we'll pay you 'till the end of the year if you quit" idiocy. Good news, I make a lot of $$$. Bad news, I have to do a lot of setup stuff this week.
- Mrs. Aqua is on a well deserved break visiting friends so it's just me keeping the dogs sane in the midst of nightly explodey things and inevitable cleanup when the phrase "scared the s*** out of them" is literal.
TLDR: PM me if you need me to respond to something in a game that can't wait. Otherwise I'm randomly posting "low hanging fruit" responses and trying to tread water here. Probably (almost certainly) will be better by the end of this coming week.
