A few months ago, the Lionshield Coster received a payment from one Amrath Mulnobar, castellan of Noanar's Hold, for five horse harnesses made by none other than Triboar's finest harness-maker, Othovir.
Othovir recently finished the last of the harnesses, and Narth needs to arrange for their delivery to Noanar's Hold. Since the recent giant attack, he has become worried about the safe arrival of the shipment. Narth has never been to Noanar's Hold, but he describes it as a village near the High Forest that once attracted wealthy hunters.
Narth packs the harnesses in a large crate with the Lionshield Coster emblem painted on its sides and asks Arus to make the delivery for him. He tells Arus how to get to Noanar's Hold by following the Evermoor Way. Narth provides a cart with the crate loaded onto it, pulled by a draft horse named Boris. Let's say that the harnesses, in the crate weigh 100 lbs and so yes, it's heavy. But Tenser's would work well, but you could also just have Boris pull the cart... just sayin'.

The stablehand gladly provides Arus with directions. "Yer gonna get out to the road yer took to get here and keep going. It's to your right. You can't miss it. See?" he says as he points to a larger structure peeking over the tree line west. "But why would ye go there now. 'Taint no one'll see ya there today."

His easy-going smile twitches but remains.

"A fine excuse to charge us a premium for another night's lodging," he mutters quietly, but not so quietly that his displeasure isn't noted by anyone in the group. | | | | Joined: May 2000 Posts: 18,574 Likes: 7 Moderator | OP Moderator Joined: May 2000 Posts: 18,574 Likes: 7 | DM The lad just shrugs his shoulder and says, "Ain't nothing I got anything to do with. Maybe you can try the manor and see if someone lets you in. Maybe the castellan will answer."

"The castellan!" he remarks, "Just the man!"
The triton nods to his companions. The harnesses are to be delivered to the castellan. So, without further delay Arus works with the party to drive the wagon out into the street and onwards in the direction the lad had indicated. | | | | Joined: May 2000 Posts: 18,574 Likes: 7 Moderator | OP Moderator Joined: May 2000 Posts: 18,574 Likes: 7 | DM The party makes it's way down the road leading towards the keep. There is little foot traffic. People do not seem to be milling about. In fact, it's somewhat vacant. Here and there you see villagers just outside their homes but when they catch a glimpse of you they turn away and stay near the front doors of their homes.
You find the keep nestled among old pine trees on a hilltop overlooking the sleepy village. The building has three stories, corner turrets, and rooftop battlements. One of he turret rooftops has collapsed, leaving a gaping hole through which birds and other creatures can enter. All the windows are bricked up. You reach the large, old, oaken doors on the ground floor. A large brass ring-shaped knocker hangs in the center of the door.
