He nods. "Any more details about this being? In the meantime lets make note of which tribes seem to be on which side. We might be able to use that information."

Selaim

The young elf glances over her shoulder occasionally but mainly focused on their surroundings. She had no thoughts on what was said behind her. It was all gobbledygook to her. But she nodded in agreement with what Aendell suggested.

Catalena

Catalena repeated her question to the goblin. "What is the thing offering the rewards? Have you seen it?"

And she added another. "Is the fighting between separate tribes or within all of the tribes about following the being?"

The goblin shook his head violently, which obviously caused it pain, despite Cat's healing. All of the tribes now follow. There were a few of us who didn't want to, but we were made to join. That is why we attacked the town, it was part of the plan."

Selaim

Heard words streaming from the creature's mouth and glanced back at Cat and Coral to gather some clue of what the thing was saying.

"You two seem speechless. What is it? What did that thing say?"

Coral

She translated the Goblin's words for Selaim.

She looked back at the goblin, and asked it, "What was the rest of the plan?"

The little creature shrugged and grimaced at the pain. "We were supposed to attack the town. We did. Then I got set out to cut down those who wouldn't go along with the plan. I am supposed to return to the gathered tribes for the next stage."

Coral

She translated for the others and then asked the goblin, "Where are the tribes gathered?"

The goblin seemed reluctant to answer that question.

[ooc: Going to take a persuasion, or intimidation or something else rp wise to get him to give up that information.]

"You have to help us stop this. You saw how many goblins died in the town. Whoever is organising this clearly does not care about goblin lives."
"Tell us where they are all gathering and we will see if we can put a stop to this."

Selaim

Hearing the translation from Coral Selaim glances at Aendell and then the others in turn a puzzled look on her face.

"I thought we'd killed all the ones who attacked the town. Was that just a small raid from this group?"

Catalena

The traveling singer-cum-guardswoman answered Selaim, "No. We know that some were in the graveyard and some of the ones in the town fled. There were too many fires across the town to tie it just to the ones we fought. But it sounds like it was never a plan that their entire clans attacked at once. As I said before, there are far far more of them than what we'd seen."

Aendell

"So then what was the point? If it was part of some bigger plan what did it do?"

The goblin shrugged and grimaced. "What can I do. You don't care about goblin lives either." He said matter-of-factly.

Selaim

"I don't know gobbledygook but I know I am hearing similar words over and over. Are we getting anywhere with that thing or should we cut our loses? Wait or would he be an asset? Would anyone want to buy this thing?"

Catalena

"We know that they took Ezakein Tobyn's body from the family crypt," Cat reminded Zeim. "So, at least that. And the footprints included someone bigger than a goblin's."

She asked the goblin a third time, "Who or what has been telling the clan leaders what to do?"

To Selaim, she said, "There are still things to learn from him. What do you mean 'buy this thing'?"

Selaim

"Ummm. I don't know. I mean you see all kinds of things being sold at the markets." Selaim said a little uncomfortably.

"And anyway maybe his people would buy him back."

Aendell

At the talk of buying and selling people Aendell gives Selaim a hard look with a raised eyebrow. One she recognizes by now to mean that this is one of those topics that he believes she needs to change her thought patterns about.

"We will not be selling or buying anyone." He states firmly. He then nods to Cat. "Yes, perhaps it was all just a giant distraction to grab the body, and we have no clue yet as to why. What was so special about him that it merits grave robbing his body? Where can we find out?" He nods again about the comment around the larger tracks. "Can you find out about those large tracks? He asks. Not understanding Goblin he doesn't know if she asked that already.

Selaim

Properly admonished, Selaim looks on and keeps her mouth shut. She hadn't meant it that way but it was obvious that it had come across that way with the looks and comments she got from Aendell and Cat.

But she was growing weary of the questioning especially since for her it was only one sided. With a huff she walks a little away from the group.

as she goes she calls out. "This is taking too long. WHo knows when another group of goblins will come loot the dead."

Coral

"So, given that the goblin is not to be sold, what are we to do with him now?"

Catalena

"We should leave him, as we agreed if he'd answer our questions," Cat replied.

She turned to the spiteful little creature once more speaking its tongue, "I've asked three times already. Who or what has been telling the clans what to do? It doesn't sound like it's a goblin. Some kind of demon or spirit?"

"I don't know," he answered. Whether he answered it again, the same way, was debatable. Cat was pretty sure the little green creature wasn't lying, he was pretty far down on the information totem pole. He likely wouldn't have been told much of anything.

Coral

"So, what now?" She asked.

"Push on?"

"If so, which way?"

Aendell

He nods at releasing the Goblin as they'd promised. "Not to mention he'll scavenge his comrades and return with quite a bit of loot." He glances around at the what's next question.

"Does anyone see any value in pushing forward to look further? Not sure we even know what we'd be looking for. Otherwise I suppose it is time to return."

Catalena

"No, let's go," Cat said. "Sheriff Hemlock will want to know that someone or something has been banding the goblins together. That's not welcome news."
