Do you all remember FICT? I still participate in the version of that which started in the TAPCIS forum in CompuServe, where we play over email on Google Groups.
One of the players there is frequently having their messages moderated, and I spent some time today trying to figure out why. I think it's because his custom domain doesn't have his SPF set.
SPF in this context, is
Sender Policy Framework, one of a few different ways you can signal to spam filters which service providers are allowed to send email from your domain.
It also can mean Sun Protection Factor, for those of us who don't want to get sunburned whilst on holiday.
What do YOU think SPF should mean?
I'll hold submissions open until Gypsy returns from her holiday, although I'm not sure if she needs sunblock.
