If you could adapt a television show into a game to play in, what show or shows would you choose?

Whether you're a Player or a GM, I'd like to hear your dream game settings—especially the ones perfect for thrilling adventures, mysterious drama, or wild powers! I am hoping to kick start some creative thinking (in myself and maybe others), but I also really enjoy getting to know everyone here better and learning what everyone else enjoys.

1. What TV show(s) would you most love to play in as a game setting? And why?
(Feel free to name as many as you like!)

Example genres people often enjoy:
• Science Fiction – Doctor Who, Firefly, Battlestar Galactica, The Expanse
• Adventure - Blood and Treasure, The Librarians, Leverage, Relic Hunter
• Fantasy – The Witcher, Game of Thrones, Shadow and Bone
• Supernatural Drama – Passions, Dark Shadows, Charmed, Supernatural, Lockwood and Co.
• Teen Mysteries/Thrillers – Pretty Little Liars, Riverdale, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Teen Wolf, Wednesday
• Superhero Stories – Smallville, The Gifted, The Boys, Gen V, Doom Patrol

Gypsy, I love Witcher! That would be a fun game world to play in!

Science-fiction TV shows: Oh Lost, and Stranger Things would be fun. Star Trek, definitely. Fringe or Eureka. Both set in high-tech worlds, but one is dark and the other is campy. I loved them both!

Adventure: Hooten and the Lady. Campy Indy style show. The Librarians again campy Indy style with a lot more magic. Leverage is a favorite show.

Fantasy: 10th Kingdom. I really do like the idea of crossing over into another world. Once Upon a Time. Supernatural. The Magicians. The Dresden Files. Love the books, but the show made the world a bit more campy, and I liked that! The Librarians, did I mention it has a lot of magic in it? Warehouse 13.

Supernatural Drama. Well Supernatural. Reaper .. hell's bounty hunter? Sure! Charmed. Haven. Evil, literally going up against conmen and hell? Count me in! Midnight Texas, a small town of supernaturals? Again, count me in. Oh I can't forget Grimm! Loved that show! and I think it would make for a great game. Of course WEDNESDAY needs to be mentioned, and I really did love Dark Shadows and Lockwood and Co.

Teen Mysteries. HHmm Teen Wolf? Riverdale? Both fun. Pretty Little Liars and the spinoff Ravenswood. SCREAM the series... loved the first two seasons! Someone picking off teens sounds fun. Yeah maybe I am an evil GM after all.

Superheroes. Loved the ones you mentioned, Smallville and Gifted particularly. The Boys is fun. I also loved Stargirl... classic heroes for the next generation. The Runaways, what would you do if you found out that you and your friends were all the kids of supervillains? OH! Birds of Prey, a dark Gotham tv show, so so so good. Mutant X.

Jinkies!

I loved watching The Expanse so much I got the RPG game supporting its Kickstarter campaign. Just have not had much time to run a game here in DreamLyrics with it.

One old TV show I really liked was Quark (1977-78) which was a funny satire and could possible make for a fun game.
