Ian

Ian takes a long drink from his coffee feeling the caffeine. Between the hangover and shopping he was nearly spent. He glances over to Emma to see if she is about to respond to Tony but decides to take the plunge himself.

"You know I never thought of it like this because I always loved numbers. But I guess I am following my father's footsteps. He's an investment banker in Sheffield. Been studying Economics."

"Are you competing also Tony?"

Levon

Now surrounded with the feline fems circling around him, Levon takes matters into his hands. He dives down and grabs a leg to grab and topple. Soon there's a tangle of thrashing limbs splashing around. As he and the girls grab and pull at each other's swim suits, a wrongly (or intentional) grab by one of the women lets them know that his body is involuntarily ready for a much more intimate encounter. Then the lights went dark and he stopped.

Emma

"Drama major. My father was hoping for something a bit more practical, but," Emma shrugs. "How about the two of you?

Henri

With Linda out of the pool, he steps away from the three to grab his and Mirada's towels just as the lights go out. Walking back he hands Miranda her towel and says, "I'd expect emergency generators should take over?"

Henri would think that most large institutions and facilities like this would have fuel based generators at the ready.

[OOC: Gypsy was hinting at the fact that most of us missed the lights going out.]

Ian

"Sounds like or pool plans are ending early."

Ian grabs his bag and turns to Emma and the others.

"Looks like we just got the boot. Are you two here with anyone else? We could finish our coffee outside before heading to the dorms."

Levon
The lights went out too early. It seemed as though the party was going to end prematurely.

He waited to hear what the women suggested before moving.

The lifeguard is calm and in control.

"We need to keep calm. There is no immediate danger but without power, many of the sysyems that support safety here will not be working. So we need to leave in an orderly fashion and assemble at the fire safety point through the main doors."

He gestures to the main entrance. Those around see him glance up every now and then as if he expects the lights to come back on at any moment as he gently ushers everyone to the main doors.

"No we are not diverting to get clothes. Just grab a towel from the racks near the door. Yes it might be uncomfortable but safety is first, Ok?"

He is fending off queries as they crop up.

People are still in the groups they were in when the lights went out. Skye, Levon, Carla and Wendy have exited the water by now, moving and dripping towards the exit. Henri, Graham, Linda and Miranda are ahead of them. Miranda had her arm through Linda's chatting softly. Emma, Ian, Tony and Sarah are now on their feet, still sipping coffee and chatting.

The first thing anyone notices as they leave the building is that it is much cooler outside and that theirs seems to be the only building with no lights on.

Levon

He grabs a towels and after quickly drying off he wraps it around his waist with a knot over his left hip.

"What's with the lights?" he asks.

Henri

He quickly dries himself off as he walks to the exit. At the exit his focus turns to the ground for a brief moment to watch where he steps in his bare feet. The cold air makes him do an involuntary shudder, as he turns around to look at Levon when he asks his question about the lights. Following Levon's gaze, he quickly notices too that the other buildings have power. "Guess, it's just a local power problem." Henri thinks to himself that is probably just a blown breaker in the electrical room, but he does look up and around to see if there is any smoke while hoping there is no electrical fire.

There is no sight or scent of smoke.

The lifeguard shrugs.

"No idea. Never happened before."

Ian

The crip air hits him as they step outside the pool house. Ian now glad he has the coffee to help warm him up takes a drink glad he has something warm in the chill air. He glances at Emma.

"Our clothes are trapped inside. You might need this more than me," he says as he drapes his towel over her shoulders to help combat the chill.

{Skye}

The fun and games had abruptly ended, and Skye followed Levon and the girls out of the pool to dry and exit. They were all a bit under-dressed, but at least she had had her cellphone with the towels. Levon and Henri consulted over the incident, so Skye turned to Wendy and Carla.

"Guess this puts a bit of a damper on things." She draped the towel over her torso to keep a little warmer.

Emma

She smiles at Ian. "Thanks. At least I have a book and my phone... and more clothes in my room, as long as that is not off limit as well."

The lifeguard moves off to the side to examine a metal box mounted on the wall. He looks down at a broken padlock on the floor. Gently pulling the door of the box open, he remarks in surprise.

"Looks like someone has pulled the power breaker lever. No wonder the power is off. Why would someone do that?"

He sighs.

"OK I'm going to make a call. We don't know what else might have been done so I'll need to get it checked over before we return. Shouldn't take long."

He picks up his phone and selects a contact.

"Hi Roger? Yeah. This is Craig at the pool. Some idiot has forced the breaker box and tripped the lever. Can you get someone down to check it out pronto? I got a load of swimmers freezing their socks off outside. Thanks!"

Everyone is gathered around using the towels to keep the cold at bay. Fortunately the weather isn't too bad, more that most of them are wet.

Skye chats to Wendy and Carla.

"More like put a chill on things" Wendy agrees.

Henri and Miranda notice that Linda is starting to shake.

Levon
He goes over to the girls, "Damn it! Why would someone pull the plug on the lights? I'm freeeezing!" he says as he rubs his arms to warm up. "Ain't you guys cold too?"

Henri

Other than his wet trunks, Henri finds it is not too bad being outside. Overhearing that someone vandalized the power, he does not put too much thought into why someone would do this. Instead he turns his attention back to Miranda and quickly notices Linda's condition worsen. Giving his towel a few firm shakes to dry it off somewhat, he hands it over to Miranda and says, "Take mine, wrap it around Linda, and let's get her moving to the dorm." Henri feels there is no sense in sticking around any longer than necessary. Nudging Gordon's elbow he says to him, "Come on, let's see her back to her room and then hopefully they will have the power back on and we can get our stuff."

{OOC: How far is it from the pool to the dorms?}

The dorms are only a few minutes walk away. Several of the swimmers decide that the dorms are attractive at the moment containing warmth, dry clothes and somewhere to sit. There are murmurs of "Back soon" "Just getting some clothes" as people start to head away from the pool building. More stay in the hope that they will be able to get back in soon. It is the main topic of conversation amongst the huddled groups.

Again Miranda takes the lead with Linda, talking to her, taking her hand gently and starting to head along the path towards the dorms, Graham and Henri following behind.

{Skye}

"Looks like we get to shake our asses across campus. Which dorm are you girls in?" Skye smiles. "Levon - what is ours called?"

Henri

Turning around he spots his roommate Ian with Emma and walks over to ask him, "Do you have our room key with you? I left everything in my locker."

Wendy replies to Skye.

"We're all in the same one, I think."

{Skye}

"Great. Let's head back then. And slip into something warmer."

Levon

"I'm with you guys. We can just all dry off and hang out in one of your rooms and get to know each other better." He said that last part with a glint in his eye.

Ian

Ian glances over at Henri then fishes in his pocket.

"Yeah got it here. Good thing I wasn't planning on swimming."

Turning back to Emma and the two they just met.

"Looks like it might be a while. I'm probably heading back to the dorms. You guys want to get out of this weather until it reopens and we can get our things?"
