Henri

He nods in agreement at Miranda's question, and quickly follows her lead by slowly pursuing Miranda so that they get closer to the girl and the concerned man beside her. Putting the beach ball game out of mind for the moment, Henri flashes a playful smile at the girl and the young man while saying, "Hey! You two help me, don't let my girlfriend escape. She got me good with a splash in the face!"

Hopefully both of them will move closer, and Miranda can see for herself that the girls eyes are not right.

Levon & Skye

Both girls watch him, Wendy with a critical eye, Carla frankly admiring.

"Maybe something tighter?"

Carla suggests with an impish grin.

Henri & Miranda

The girl doesn't move but Henri's call does get the young man's attention.

"Sorry.. I don't think Linda is feeling very well."

Miranda turns to Henri and nods slightly.

Emma

Emma looks at the girl, and then at the fellow. "No, help yourself... and congratulations on the costumes and the win!" As they offer to get coffee, Emma shakes her head, but looks at Ian. "Nothing for me, thanks. Ian?"

{Skye}

The fact that the Wendy and Carla were fashion students caught Skye's attention, but then Levon leaned in breathing even more heavily. Truth was it wasn't a bad move on his part. But, she had to laugh when he twirled around for them -- and the little gasp. Of course they'd want to go tighter!

"Tight suits are the law in France for public swimming, I've heard." She evilly chirped. "Health reasons you know...." Skye kinda wanted to needle him a bit more, but that would just push him away -- and she really didn't want that. Though what did she really want was the big question. Just to have some fun and kick some ass -- as least for now.

"We did miss him shopping today." She followed up kindly with a wink. "Some nice shops around - spent more than I should have today! Love that you two are studying fashion. I've been following Hello Fashion and Atlantic-Pacific... but who's a good British blog? We have such a different approach in the US - especially West Coast where I wandered from...."

Henri

Henri was hoping Miranda would step up to the plate first so to speak, but for the moment he keeps it casual for not knowing what substance Linda has taken.

"Oh! Sorry to hear that."

He takes a couple steps closer and says, "I'm Henri. This is Miranda. You two want to dry off for a bit, get a drink of water or something else with me and Miranda?"

While waiting for an answer Henri will scan the pools edge to see if there is a lifeguard on duty.

Levon & Skye

Wendy turns to Skye laughing at the France comment.

"So you have an interest in Fashion. Brill. I read Glamour UK and British Vogue. Chloë Sevigny’s great, isn't she? Really into vintage right now."

Henri & Miranda

There is a life guard sitting in a high white chair, bit like a tennis umpire, except that he is wearing black shorts and has a whistle around his neck. He's currently checking out his phone.

The young man exchanges a look with Henri and decides he needs to talk to someone.

"I'm Gordon and this is Linda.. and yes I think that sounds like a good idea." He pauses, then adds "I might need some help."

He puts an arm around Linda's shoulders and speaks softly to her.

"Let's go and get a drink."

He gets her attention.

"But I want to watch the kittens play. They are so pretty. I like the tabby best."

Gordon looks helpless, almost panicked as he shrugs to Henri.

Emma and Ian

Tony and Sarah smile and wait for Ian's response.

Henri

He is familiar to a small extent with various hallucinogen's having been to several rave's and the EDM scene back home. Linda seems to be definitely having a trip on something. They really need to get her out of the water as soon as possible yet they need to do it in a calm manner.

In a quiet tone he says, "Bonjour Gordon. We'll help of course. She listens to you though. Maybe say kittens will come to play with her outside of the pool. Then try getting her moving to the pool steps."

Henri will slowly swim around slightly behind and to the opposite side of Linda that Gordon is on. He holds up his one arm, palm facing the life guard and waves it down to his side, repeating this in an effort to grab the stupid life guards attention. If the life guard does not get his nose out of his phone soon, he will ask Miranda to swim over there to let him know that they need help.

Levon

He turns to Skye, "You know that I'll never look a gift horse in the mouth! You wanna get me one of those banana hammocks I'll at least model it."

Then, glancing back to Wendy and Carla, "So you think I need a fashion upgrade? Maybe the three of you can play dress-up with me?"

Henri & Miranda

Miranda says to Linda "I think there are kitties over here." She starts to lead the way to the steps, glancing back to see if Linda is following. This is away from the lifeguard who still hasn't noticed, but Linda is starting to respond, Gordon guiding her.

Levon & Skye

"Well we are certainly up for dressing you up!"

Carla giggles and winks at WEndy.

Levon

"In the mean time, who's up for a dip in the pool?"

{Skye}

"I'll be your wing woman on this one," Skye whispers as she slaps the side of his bare chest. Levon's got the interest of the two girls as they chime just a bit too enthusiastically. She turns with the offer for a dip and, with her own fine ass showing off, long dives and then swims back over. "Girls...just push him in...he falls easily."

Henri

He gives up on trying to get the attention of the lifeguard and instead will follow behind Gordon and Linda just in case. As long as they continue to move towards the stairs and out of the pool, he will keep quiet.

Henri & Miranda

Slowly the trio edge Linda over to the steps. Once she is moving, she continues without needing much encouragement though Miranda says softly "come on" and "this way. Graham take the opportunity to talk quietly to Henri.

"Look, appreciate your help. No idea what she has taken but ideally I should try to get her back to the dorm. Don't want to get her in trouble. Would you help?"

Levon & Skye

No need for much in the way off encouragement, four hands plant themselves in Levon's back and help to propel him into the water, jumping in afterwards.

Emma & Ian
<Ian nudge>

Ian

{OOC: Sorry got a little dazed there for a sec or two}

Ian was so lost in thoughts and daydreaming that he'd barely noticed the other two arrive much less Emma's question. As his mind focused on the two that had come over he still couldn't place them but evidently Emma knew them from the night before.

"No I'm... You know maybe a coffee will do me a bit of good. My mind is running slow right now. Since you are picking up how about I buy for the round?"

He reaches into his wallet for the cash and offers it to the two.

They smile.

"Good of you."

He takes the money.

"Be right back."

Henri

"Sure Gordon. Just glad we're getting Linda to a better place."

Henri is glad Miranda is helping too.

"You guys staying in the same building we are? Does she have a room mate to check in on her?"

Henri hopes they do not have to walk too far to get Linda back to her room. Less distractions would be good in successfully getting Linda to her bed to sleep this off.

Levon
He's expecting to be hurled into the pool and isn't surprised when the two women shoved him in. He makes the splash dramatic and makes sure he ends up near Skye when the two others jump in after him he begins to playfully wrestle with the three, splashing around with them.

Henri & Miranda

Miranda is offering Linda a hand from the steps to the side of the pool. Conversation seems to have dried up but Miranda is singing softly to the other girl, maybe appropriately she is singing 'Stand By Me'.

Whilst Gordon pushes Linda gently from the back, he continues to talk to Henri in a low voice.

"Yes I think everyone who is not at Uni here is staying at the dorm. No idea where her roommate is but hang the rules, I will be staying with her. I've no idea what she has taken, nor where she got it from."

He looks really worried.


Levon & Skye

Levon lands with a big splash, showering Skye with water, which repeats as Wendy and Carla also jump in. The lifeguard looks up and glances around before going back to his phone. Meanwhile the two giggling girls splash Levon.

The lifeguard looks up again.

Emma & Ian

Tony and Sarah wander off and before long are back with coffees, holding one out to Ian as they take seats next to them.

Sarah asks "Are either of you competitors? I am. I'm a bit nervous. This will be the first time I have competed outside our Uni."

Tony smiles at her. "You'll be fine. Anyway it has been fun so far."

She nods.

Emma

Em shakes her head with a smile. "Not I. I am more of a cheer and moral support type myself. I've taken a couple self defense classes lately, but I am so not up to anything competitive level.

Henri

He does not know Gordon nor Linda at all. Henri feels it is somewhat inappropriate for Gordon to be alone with Linda, even if he seems to have genuine concern towards her.

Henri remembers Hilary's phone number was on the back of their cafeteria passes, so he says quietly to Gordon, "Best to let Hilary know of Linda's situation if we can't find her roommate then."

Levon

He playfully gets behind Skye and lifts her into the the splashes coming from Wendy and Carla. "Protect me Skye! Protect me!" he calls out.

ooc: Note that I'm headed on a 5-day road trip with my wife. It's unlikely that I can post again until next Wednesday...but I'll try.

Ian

"I am not near good enough to compete. Sadly my skills are more reminiscent of Larry or Curly than Bruce or Chuck." Ian said with a smile. His smile broadening even more after following the drink of coffee.

{Skye}

She would have to later admit that she did squeal when Levon through her out and across the water. It was half surprise and then a bit of the fun feeling. Skye did avoid to slam into the two other girls, but the splash was pretty big. After laughing and then checking to make sure Wendy and Carla were okay, she turned to face her nemesis.

"Oh boy, now you're in for it." She mock snarled. "Let's get him, girls. Off with his bathing costume!" And she started to have them fan out and help surround the well-cut young man.

Henri & Miranda

Gordon nods.

"Actually that's a good idea."

He seems relieved that someone else would be taking responsibility.

The two girls have reached the side leaving the steps clear for the men.

Levon & Skye

Both Carla and Wendy respond to Skye's urging and start to circle like a pack of hyenas.

Emma & Ian

The coffee isn't bad. After a few sips Tony asks "So what are you studying at Uni?"

EVERYONE

At this point all the lights go out in the pool. It is daylight outside and as the building is mostly glass, everyone can still see. A shrill whistle sounds. As heads turn in that direction, they can see the lifeguard near the edge of th pool, whistle in hand. He calls out.

"Seems like we have had a power cut. No need to panic. Can everyone please make their way to the nearest steps and exit the pool in an orderly fashion?"
