{Skye}

She could only laugh at that, as she hung up, but deep down she still wondered about the two of them.

"Okay, kids! Levon will meet us at the pool. Let's go have some more fun!"

Emma

Emma nodded, a smile on her face. "Time to get some fun and relaxation in before you kick everyone's butt tomorrow!

The swimming pool is in its own building, very modern looking. Levon is waiting by the door as the others pitch up and they all enter together.





As they open the door, a wave of noise and a strong smell of chlorine assaults them. It seems like many of the other competitors had the same idea as there are quite a few faces that they recognise. The noise is being generated by fellow competitors as it seems they are engaged in some sort of game which a giant inflatable beach ball. Taking a moment to adjust, they notice there is tiered seating on the right, changing rooms and lockers to the left and a small refreshment area at the far end complete with presently empty tables and benches.

Levon

He's waiting for the others. They spot him standing there wearing an unbuttoned white linen shirt and loose fitting jeans with the top button undone. The jeans hung just below his waist letting him show off the tight-fitting swim trunks under them.

"I thought I was getting skin!" he calls out to Skye. She rarely has gotten to seen him even half naked. He always wore his gi when sparring and if there's anything she's learned when sparring with him is that he's overly respectful, careful about where he laid his hands.

They've never really discussed having a relationship. There was one moment a while back here he had subtly moved to get close but he thought she had rebuffed him. Maybe shd been playing hard to get. Maybe he had been too subtle and she didn't even know it had been an advance. Whatever the case, they were close in other ways and he was too respectful of her. She had seen him with other women, almost all the types that one would have nothing more than a fling with. Those women were quite handsy and they often retreated to privacy rapidly. But not with Skye. If anything happened between them it would be as rigorous as the way he trained.

"I'm gonna grab a spot on that bench over there. You guys go get changed. He turned around and sauntered over to the bench, took off his shirt and removed his jeans ignoring the stares from others nearby. He was used to them.

Henri

After shopping he goes to his room for a quick stop to pick up his small back pack to stuff his new swim trunks, a towel, and some toiletries for after swimming.

Walking up to the building he slows down to admire it. Stepping inside, Henri let's out a "Wow! Place is huge", as it reminds him of the time back home where he visited Montreal's Olympic Pool. The water slides at the far end look like fun and hopes they are running. Finishing his gawking around, he spots the signage for the change rooms and will walk over to get changed.

Almost being the antithesis to Levon's masculine looks, Henri with a silly smile struts out in his new bright yellow, purple, and lavender tropical print swim trunks.

Ian

Heading into the pool, Ian paused as the smell of chlorine nearly overwhelmed him. The cloying humidity causing a weight to fall on his shoulders as thick as the fog on the windows. He follows Henri to the changing room. He changed as well. His suit and shirt more subtle than the loud colors that Henri changed into.

"Dude those shorts are loud. Hate tropical prints." he choked out while nearly laughing at Henri's suit.

"Now this... is a work of art." he said displaying the finely printed shirt and short combo. And it literally was a print of a famous painting.

Henri

He lets out a laugh at his own expense with Ian's comment and with a smile concedes that Ian's choice does have a bit more class. With a joking tone he replies, "Ok, Rembrandt. You got me beat on the fashion front."

Holding the changing door open for Ian to precede him back to the main pool, Henri adds with a small chuckle, "Let's hope your fancy artwork was not printed using water colours!"

Oh, the things Henri will do to just please a woman, especially Miranda. He lets out a nervous breath and mentally shrugs his shoulders while thinking you only live once so might as well be a goofball for today.

Ian

"It's Van Gogh. But you're right. Hopefully they hold up with the chlorine. I wasn't expecting the pool house." Ian said grabbing his towel.

"Let's get out there before Levon causes a riot."

Ian heads out the proffered door and back into the humidity and chlorine of the pool area. Looking around for the girls as he heads toward the pool.

Miranda

She moves to a cubicle to change and although she is fairly quick, not as fast as the guys.

She merges to see Henri and Ian ahead of her.

"Hey, wait for me."

The bikini does cover what it needs to but not much else. And the green looks good given her hair colour. She has tied her hair back.

"Love the choices guys" she chuckles.

{Skye}

Of course Levon was gorgeous. Skye knew that from when they first met and flirted. And obviously it didn't hurt that they'd become friends - and trusting of each other. So she just waved him off from a distance as she headed to the changing room. But, coming out with her own barely there bikini, and seeing Levon completely....well, she buckled a bit in her "knees".

**Maybe I switched teams too quickly....** She wondered for a moment before getting her attitude back and walking over like a supermodel with attitude and a blown kiss to Levon. "We got skin now, babe!"

She couldn't hold the pose for long before cracking up. "Seriously we all look fab! We need a pic before we're soaked!" She looked around to see if she could grab anyone to help.

Henri

He turns slightly to his left as Miranda calls out to them and slows down for her. Henri can not help watching her as she catches up to them, and with a wide smile exclaims, "Très chaud, ma belle Miranda!" At her laugh he looks down at his swim trunks and says, "If I remember rightly, someone talked me into this."

Miranda

"Might have.."

She giggles at Henri as she grabs his arm and heads over to the others, catching Skye's last remark.

"There are a number of people sitting over there watching, we could ask one of them."

Emma

Emma took her time changing into her blue and white look, and then left the cubicle, grabbing her phone, towel, and bag. Thankfully she always had an 'emergency kit' on hand. Hand lotion, extra wipes, and sunscreen... just in case. Thus prepared she headed out and looked for a lounge chair with either shade or an umbrella. Time to just soak up some relaxation. Maybe swim in a bit.

Levon
"Yeah. A pic would be great! Let's get someone to shoot it."

He hopped up and went right over to Skye and stood right next to her, putting his arm around her waist and pulling her closer and waved the others to join.

As they waited for the others to get into the photo frame he said to her, "You know, any time you want to try something more ... traditional ..."

His voice trailed off and he didn't finish what he was going to say, figuring that Skye knew. He didn't much like being friends without benefits but he wasn't going to push too hard for something he didn't think would happen.

He then pointed at a nearby man and said, "What about him? He can take the photo."

Henri

Following Miranda with his arm linked with hers they join up with everyone shuffling into position for the photo, Henri slips his right arm around her waist too. Henri was thinking to hand over his phone too, for the man that Levon pointed out, but figures Levon can just share the photo later. 

Ian

He moves in close to the rest. Carefully he stands near Emma.

The man smiles, holding out his hand towards Levi.

"Sure I can take a photo for you."

He looks at the screen, waves everyone a bit closer together.

"Smile."

He take a couple of shots and hands the phone back.

{Skye}

She was a little surprised and mixed about Levon encircling her waist and whispering to her. It was quite different from their usual exchanges - and Skye really resisted the urge to elbow him and S.I.N.G., which of course was self-defense for "Solar plexus, Instep, Nose, Groin".

Fortunately, the moment was broken enough to get the photo -- even as Levon held on to her more than needed while handing the phone over. Afterwards she at first growled and then looked at Levon squarely.

"Let's talk about this after the tourney. Agreed?" She wasn't sure to wink or smile to encourage or frown to discourage. Skye just knew that they couldn't get over-distracted with something this big. But, she did finally lean in and gave a heartfelt squeeze on his big shoulder. "Please."

Henri

He thanks the man for taking their photos too, and in his excitement to get into the water first he slips at the pools edge making a very inelegant face first entry into the water.
Popping his head out, he noisily clears the water from his nose and says with a smile, "Water temperature is good!"

Henri surfaces spluttering to see Miranda bent over double in laughter.

"You should have seen yourself!"

"Then she runs two steps and jumps, landing with a big splash next to him.

Henri and Miranda are in the shallow end near to where the beach ball game is being played, but there is the quieter area at the far end where the diving board is. Depends if the mood is to mingle or to remain apart.

Looking at the ball players, quite a light-hearted group, they cannot see anyone they recognise from Durham, which in some ways is to be expected. There are definitely one or two from each team from Newcastle (Hippies, Military & Wild West) and the same from the Teeside teams (Religious, Medical & Star Wars), though the two bothers who were arguing last night are conspicuous by their absence. Their two teammates (both in nurses costumes) are there though. A couple of people wave to you. Could be taken as an invitation?

Levon

"Ugggh. You wanna talk? It don't really work that way with me. Just forget I said anything. Let's just win this thing" he replied to Skye.

He didn't think she was interested. If she was, she knew to make the move. He had made his.

After the photos were taken he waved back at those waving. If it was an invitation, they could make it more inviting. He hadn't figured out the Brits yet but they weren't as outgoing as Americans.

{Skye}

**Fuck...** She thought while trying to keep things cheery. Skye was a little surprised at his reaction. **He just doesn't get it...** and maybe that was what hurt. But he was right about one thing. They came to win not get bogged down in high school romances.

She waved back to the other competitors along with Levon. It was time to learn more about their opponents - and given the intel from her friends last night - there was a lot to learn. She moved over to chat with the two nursed.

"Hey there! Nice to have the extra day off after last night." Skye opened to conversation.

Henri

He turns his face away just in time to avoid most of the splash from Miranda, but still he gets the brunt of it. With mock anger he slips his arms around her waist and threatens to pull her under. "Arrgh! You'll pay for that!", but then with a laugh lets her go without actually pulling her under with him.

Sitting down, he floats in the water waiting for the others to join and notices the group playing with the beach ball. "Hey Miranda, want to play with them over there?"

Ian

Swimming was never one of things he enjoyed. Although he didn't mind relaxing by a pool. Finding another lounger next to Emma. Tutning to her he says, "Hope you don't mind."

He sits back wishing he'd brought a book and that the pool was outdoors. Instead he leans back and closes his eyes.
