Emma

Emma shook her head at Ian. "Not at all, just relaxing for a bit, but I probably will dive in later, but right now I just wanted a bit of relaxation."

Ian and Emma take an option to relax for a while. Henri and Miranda were first into the pool, followed by Skye, with Levon looking on.

The three make their way over to the ball players as one girl says "The idea is to keep the ball in the air, just hit it to someone else if it comes close."

And Skye moves to stand next the nurses of last night. They introduce themselves as Carla and Wendy. "Yes it was a fun idea had we had better teammates."

Levon
He jumps in the pool and swims towards the nurses coming up from the dive right next to Skye.

"Hey there!" he says, jumping into the conversation just as the nurses introduce themselves. He introduces himself and Skye. "What was wrong with your teammates?" he asks.

Wendy rolls her eyes as Carla answers Levon.

"What wasn't? Daniel was always arguing. Me and Wendy had to do many of the forfeits and most of the drinking. Boy did we have sore heads this morning!"

Levon

"Daniel? What is there to argue about? Was it over you two?"

Henri

He gives a smile and a short wave of his hand to the girl that described the game, "Sounds like fun. I'm Henri, and this is Miranda. Nice to meet you all."

Ian

The noise of the pool preventing a drift into a snooze Ian opens his eyes and looks out over the water. This was going to be rough. Seeing Henri, Miranda, Levon and Sky over by the two girls, he glances to Emma saying, "Looks like Levon found somebody to flirt with. Do we know them?"

Wendy leaps forward with both fists clenched and hits the ball underneath launching it into the air.

"Good one Wendy!"

She turns back to Levon.

"Over us?" She laughs. "If he wasn't so macho, I'd say he was gay."

The ball looks like it is going to land near Henri and Miranda, once gravity takes over.

"Hi, you must be from York. We're Liz and Karen from Newcastle. I'm Liz."

They both smile, friendly girls.

Levon
"I guess macho gay works but you don't know that. So what was he arguing about then?" he asks Wendy and Carla both.

{Skye}

Good for Levon to start flirting and get information. Skye let him take the lead chatting with the girls.

Henri

He barely has time to acknowledge Liz and Karen when the ball starts to fall down near him.

"I got it!" he says while moving as fast as he can in the water to get under the ball and tap it over to Miranda.

Skye & Levon

Wendy takes over the conversation, occasionally glancing at the ball so she wouldn't be surprised.

"Anything and everything. Stated that he didn't drink and so wasn't going to do that. But he didn't seem to want to participate in a lot of the challenges either. Beneath his dignity I think. His brother, I think, tried to keep the peace but about half way through, Daniel stalked off. Really unpleasant atmosphere."

Carla seems to be eyeing up Leon's physique.

Henri & Miranda

Henri reaches the ball and taps it over to Miranda. She jumps up, partly out of the water to give it a good whack.

"To you Skye!"

And she grins at Henri.

"This is fun!"

Emma & Ian

They are just settling down to chat, Ian having asked Emma a question, his attention on the pool. Emma turns to face him but pauses as she sees the door open and the quieter brother of the pair from last night pops his head in, looking around those in the pool. Although too far away to hear, his mouth is moving as though he is talking to someone out of sight.

Levon

The glance from Clara yields a half smile and a similar sizing up.

"I don't get it. Then why's he here? Doesn't like drinking and is paired with two beauties and doesn't like women. Does he like martial arts at least? Do you know the guy or were you just paired up with him?

Nuf about him. Where're you from? Skye and I are representing York."

Emma

She looks at the girls in question, and shakes her head. "Not that I know, but they could have been any of the other groups in costume last night. But looks like Levon is having a good time."

Levon & Skye

Carla interjects with a smile.

"Oh he is definitely into martial arts and no, we don't really know him. We were just making up the numbers for last night. We're from Teeside, by the river Tees. And by the coast too. Good Uni, large creative department.

Ian

"Must be."

Ian is a little lost here between wanting to respect her privacy but wanting to strike up more of a conversation.

"My mind is a blur from last night still. Did I do anything stupid?"

Levon

"So the two of you are here, together, on your own," he surmises. "Teeside. Never been there. Maybe you can tell us all about your Uni. We're from the US and haven't been everywhere yet."

He glances over to Skye to see how she's reacting. He hadn't figured her out yet so this encounter could go in many directions. He didn't think he would mind any of those directions but decided to start nudging things along to satisfy the itch of curiosity. She wanted to talk, all women liked to talk things out but that wasn't Levon's comfort zone.

Wendy takes over the conversation.

"Well the main campus is in Middleborough. Not been a University long - 92 - but it is the top university in Europe for technical creativity and top in the UK for student satisfaction. Think that is mainly due to the town's nightlife and the good availability of student digs, mostly in good condition. There's more to uni than studying, right?"

Emma

Em shakes her head. "Nothing major, except showing your privates to that nun. I don't think it was a real nun though..." She gives him a wink to let him know she was kidding.

Ian

His eyes widened at the thought until he saw her wink then he smiled.

"Oh woe is me that nuns are such a bad habit to break." he sad grinning.

"So in other words I wasn't that out there. Good. Considering the last thing I remember is the awards that is a good thing."

Levon
"So you picked your college because it was fun or are you guys bookworms?" he asks.

Levon & Skye

Wendy and Carla exchange amused looks before Carla explains "We're both taking degrees in Fashion. Teeside has a great department and you get a one year workplacement as part of the 4 year course. We didn't exactly know how much fun was involved until we got here. We're rommies."

Emma & Ian

As the two banter, a couple get out of the pool, grab towels & bags and move over to the seating. They recognise them as being in the Hippy team from last night.

"Anyone sitting here?"

The girl points to two seats alongside theirs.

"We're Sarah and Tony. Saw you guys last night. York right? First and second places, pretty good."

She smiles and then Tony speaks out.

"We're just going to grab a coffee, either of you want anything?"

Henri & Miranda

Loud laughter emanates from a girl who last night had been dressed as an Indian Squaw. The boy beside her (sheriff) places a hand on her arm and says "Shhhh" gently but he looks worried.

Henri had noticed that her eyes look a little wild and her pupils are dilated.

Henri

With the ball not anywhere near him for a minute, Henri was watching Miranda with a mischievous smile thinking of swimming underwater to sneak up and prank her, when the other girls loud laughter shifts his attention to her.

Taking a quick moment to study both the girl's somewhat odd expression and the boy beside her obvious concern, Henri quickly swims over to Miranda. In a quiet voice he says, "Hey Miranda. See that girl there? The one that was dressed as a Indian last night."

Henri feels that going over to the other girl without Miranda might make the 'Indian' girl nervous or agitate her. Henri continues in a low voice with his own concern, "Probably can't see from here, but I think that she is under the influence of something. I think we should help out."

Henri figures Miranda will be much more diplomatic than him in getting the girl out of the water.

Miranda looks over as directed.

"Not sure.. but she is acting oddly. Should we move a bit closer?"

She flicks some water at Henri and then moves back laughing.. back in the direction of the girl.

Levon

He twirls for the girls in his swimsuit. It's a baggy one, plain khaki green. "I need a make-over. What do you think?"
