Jaliera

"Sounds like a good option Zhu. And the Greater Healing could go to the group with least healing available overall."

It sounds like their visit has given a good boost to each group. She is happy with the outcome.

"I still need to look at arrows, armour, a mirror and warm clothing. Plus we need food for ourselves and the horses."

She looks around to see if she can see any of those things. Then adds

"Do you want us all to contribute to the cost here Zhu?"

<Bern>

"Yes, it should be a 'group' purchase since it serves the group."

(OOC - OK, granted. So add two of them to the list, one for each group.)

DM

The healer smiles at the easy transaction, packaging up the requested healing items. "May the gods smile on your journey," she offers as they depart.

(OOC - Gypsy - I think we have a Cleric and Paladin in one group and two Rangers and a Druid in the other so not sure there's very much difference in healing. Perhaps a tad less in the group going to Olostin's Hold so I guess give it to them.)

[OOC I see how you are. The bard is useless and not in either group. I am going to go sit in the dark.]

Bard is great, just not typically well known for healing magic. More buffs and attacks. Notice I didn't mention Zhu or Pavel either.

Zhu

She collects some coin from everyone and pays the merchant then splits the items up between she and Jaliera. They can distribute them among their teams later. Once done she thanks the merchant and takes a look around to see if there are any other merchants of interest around. She is mostly looking for unusual things, especially the possibility of magic beyond healing, and also some warm clothing. Having heard Jaliera says she wants to look for arrows, mirrors and such she suggests they stroll around the square and see what is available. "We can save the Dwarven Blacksmith for last."

(OOC - If someone would like to jump in and assign the healing items across the groups feel free. Each group has:

2 Potions of Heal
3 Vials of Anti-toxin
3 Doses of Herbal Remedies
3 Healers Kits
1 Troll Balm

Zhu's group also has 1 Potion of Greater Heal.

I'd suggest giving the potions to those who can't cast Healing spells. With 12 items in each group everyone should get 2 or 3 items I think. Zhu already has a Potion of Greater Healing. She would like 1 Anti-toxin and 1 Herbal Remedy but open to compromise.)

Pavel

While he was happy to see the potions, he'd been hoping to find any items or scrolls. As he looked around the shop he wasn't shocked as those prospects grew fainter.

He brooked no argument at Zhu's suggestions at dividing the resources. Thinking of the potions from earlier he labeled the Experimental Troll Potion as "Dire Emergency" but he'd place it with the rest for whenever they fully went their separate ways.

"Is this all your wares? Perhaps you might have any scrolls or items?" he asks as Zhu and Jaliera divide the potions amongst themselves.

Jaliera

"As there are three of us here from our group, I would suggest we each take a healing potion, an anti-toxin, herbal remedy and healer's kit. I'll take the Troll's balm as the most likely to use it. We can run it past the others later."

She talks to Pavel and Davroar.

Davroar

"I can pack the healer's kit and the anti-toxin." He has learned how to heal various wounds without his magic from his early days with his mentor as it can be helpful to know these things when he is too tired to cast a spell.

Pavel

Pavel pulled out his wallet and realized that he wasn't carrying that much gold on his person. Reaching into the Bag of holding he found the rest of his money and passed over to Jaliera his portion of the gold for the items. "For my part of the items." he said as he dropped the coins in her hands.

"I have no issue with carrying the items. Except there is only two healing potions. I still have the one from the witch. So I guess you two take those."

He then placed the ant-toxin, herbal remedy, and healer's kit in his bag of holding.

Davroar

"Less to carry is good with me. Thanks Pavel." Pointing to the remaining two healing potions, he continues to say, "You can keep those potions Jaliera."

Davroar has his spells to cure wounds, and he can always use his wild shape if he gets really hurt. Thinking upon his wild shape, it suddenly dawns on him that after his good nights rest his capability to wild shape has developed into something more. Blinking his eyes with a some what wonderous expression on his face he says, "Oh! Wow! I umm... I got to do something. I'll be right back."

Doing a fast walk back to the Inn, he looks at the stable which seems to be one of the larger buildings around and goes upstairs and then finds the hay loft where he sits upon the edge and changes into a raven. Flapping his wings, he gets used to his new center of gravity and then preens his feathers in anticipation of his first flight. His nervousness gets the better of him as he launches himself into the air and suddenly finds himself losing altitude and veering too much one way and then another as he fights to maintain a steady course. All the while what would be his normal cussing at his own ineptitude comes out as very loud angry squawks. If anyone is around for the next few minutes they will witness what looks to be a full-sized raven behaving like it was drunk with his first awkward attempts at flight. Finally after several attempts, Davroar is getting a better grasp of how to fly and ventures out of the barn, soaring up to twice the height of the barn. Quickly he spots Jaliera and Pavel still in the market area, so he glides down and manages an awkward landing on a nearby cart in front of both of them. Davroar tries to squawk out a friendly 'hello', and bobs his head.

DM

The healer tent shopkeeper shakes her head to Pavel's question. "Sorry, we don't stock those, but we have contacts in Everlund and Yartar and can try to get anything you need sent here... perhaps in a week or two?"

Pavel

"Oh thank you but I'll not be here as long as that." Pavel said at the shopkeeper's response.

He watches the druid leave quizzically then turns to Jaliera. "I guess if he doesn't want to carry one of them then you carry one and I carry the other?" he asks indicating the Potions of Healing.

At the curious squawking raven. "Is that bird drunk?"

Jaliera

"One each works."

She looks over at the raven.

"Certainly looks like it."

She giggles.

"If that Raven is Davroar, then it should land on my hand.."

She stretches out her hand.

Davroar

He lets out another squawk in warning as he hops from his perch, extending his wings for balance and lands on Jaliera's outstretched fore arm rather than the palm of her hand. He wants to be careful with his sharp tiny claws not to puncture her skin.

Jaliera

She laughs.

"Could have picked a prettier bird."

Her head on one side, she recollects.

"So flying is a new thing? Means we can scout by air in two directions now."

Should help to keep them safer.. or at least forewarned.

The shopkeepers call out, hawking their wares, as the sun climbs higher.

The road beckons.

[OOC So can Jaliera see any stalls selling any of the items she wanted? ]

(OOC - Nep/Aqua - There have been numerous hints that there are no magic items to buy here, so are you looking to play out purchasing mundane items that have been mentioned, such as arrows, non-magical armor, and warm clothing or can we just say we bought them? We could then move on to the Dwarven Smith......?)

OOC: Nep and I are eager to split the parties and move on to the next phase of this adventure.

We do not want to stop those of you who still have business to do in this town from doing said business.

I wasn't aware people were short of warm clothing or other basics that you can buy and replenish your character sheets with. I've been informed we're all independently wealthy so frankly I have little interest in tracking how much gold or the weight thereof or making you freeze to death at night for lack of a blanket.

So, those of you who want to do business, do it.
