The lights are dark on what appears to be a set. Maybe a set for a variety show or a news room. Who knows? Who cares?
"When I said hit the lights I didn't mean for you to actually hit them." a male voice is heard in the darkened studio.
"Like I knew what you meant? And if you wanted light I do have this." A torch flares to life. Two familiar people are seen and a third quiet brooding one.
Jimmy rolls his eyes at Selaim as Craig quietly walks over to the light switch and looks it over before pulling a pencil from his pocket and uses it to turn on the lights.
"There!" Jimmy says looking around at the set. "Good everything just about how we left it after the finale. Craig can you get everything else working before Selaim tries to stab those things as well?"
Jimmy takes a seat in front of the camera collects himself and smiles as the red lights come on.
"Good evening. Welcome to a brief break in your normally scheduled ACRO. Rest assured your normal ACRO Broadcast will resume when the majority of players aren't busy having fun over the holidays.' Jimmy pauses look around. "Wait isn't this an international site? As in not everyone here are Americans?"
Selaim smile, "How would I know all I know is Sandpoint."
The bigger guy growls.
"Look Craig we traded you for Phelan because you weren't Aqua's lap wolf. No growling." Jimmy looks over some papers and is heard mumbling,"Gypsy and Tusk British, Aqua and the two from Tennessee American, Mouse American, Miales American, Dugan ummmm Canadian. And Weez... um California... umm American. That leaves uh.. Mina... ummm Goddess of ??? ok... So majority American. We should get away with calling it a Holiday Special. I mean Star Wars had one so what could go wrong?" He looks around at his two counterparts who stare at him blankly.
"Okay... So we present to you the Acro Holiday Special to celebrate a few holidays this week."
"A little known fact (to Americans anyway) is that Canadians celebrate the founding of their nation this week on July 1st. This is Canada Day. Which is their federal holiday recognizing the anniversary of the uniting of three colonies into a single country called Canada on July 1, 1867."
"For Americans their holiday is on July 4th. They call it Independence day. You know the holiday Americans celebrate their independence from... Erm this is awkward. Ummm. England." He purses his lips at the realization. Then smirks.
"Yes the 4th of July the day Americans celebrate their independence from England. A day of cook outs and fireworks gathering with family and friends. And well being American." he pauses and smiles.
"But you know that should be a special day for the English among us. I mean seriously. In the insurance business, America is something that you'd call an Attractive Nuisance. Something nice to look at but not something anybody in their right mind would want to deal with. So to our British friends you do have reason to celebrate the 4th of July with every American." Jimmy smiles broadly.
"Just for different reasons."
Selaim sighs... "Just get on with it. I need to get back to my game."
"Ok, ok So this weel we'll be doing something a little different." he presses a button and a graphic come up.
.

"As you see this is a totally separate contest just for this two week period. At the end of the contest Round 10 ACRO will be back and um...." He checks notes. "Miales will run a normal ACRO week. This will give everyone time to celebrate with family without any pressure,"
"Or go on a frigging cruise... again." mumbles the other man.
""Not sure I'd like a boat. I can't swim." Selaim said her eyes wide.
"Or finish up their cruise."
"In the meantime I present to you your choices:" Jimmy says as another graphic comes up.
.
