Catalena
"Friends," Catalena began, "I appreciate more than I can say that you came to find me. If I do think it best that I leave Sandpoint, I will not do so without getting word to you.
"Though I feel," she added with a sigh, "Doing so would only land me in more trouble. I at least have been earning Sheriff Hemlock's appreciation, I believe, and so I think I would have protection here by his jurisdiction."
She offered them a raised cup. "For tonight, I have no wish to keep you from your well-earned celebration at the Rusty Dragon. I will stay here with my people, singing and carousing until spent, and then doubtless find one of them willing to at least allow me a spot on their floor tonight."
After they'd departed, Cat stayed true to her word and found a warm place at the hearth of the Magravis to sleep off the cider. In the morning, she reported for duty assignment as usual, looking a bit rousted and hungover.
