I have come across Outgunned, made by the Italian company Two Little Mice Games. They are currently offering a backer kit and a special deal on Drivethru.
In short, it uses a Yahtzee mechanic where matching d6 makes up the action roll. The more matches, the better your roll. Dice pools are created from Attribute and Skill combinations between 2 and 9 dice. Never roll less than 2, and never roll more than 9. Most rolls should require three matches to make them worthy of making the roll. There are mechanics for special abilities granting a free reroll for the dice that don't match. Or you, as a player, can choose to risk it and roll the non-matching dice. The downside is if you don't get at least one more match, you lose the original success. If you do match, then you get a better outcome. If that is not enough, you can go All In, roll the remaining non-matching dice, and risk all in a make-it-or-break-it roll. The dice mechanics and system are relatively easy to operate.
The general theme of the game is action/pulp. There are world books for Action Flicks (all kinds), World of Killers (John Wick, etc), and Outgunned Adventure (Indiana Jones).
I am reading it now, and I am intrigued because I love action flicks and simple mechanics.
