The top half of North island is getting a battering ... checks rain radar ... sorry, all of North Island apart from Wellington is getting a battering.

Auckland rail got a bit battered - but nothing like further east Bay of Plenty after the storm LaBerge will now be hoping that the Southern Alps will protect him from the weather system that is going to smash into South island on Sunday
