Looking around himself, he suggests, "Well lets see if we can grab a table by the karaoke. Miranda can wow us with her singing, and Levon can win us some more drinking money."

Miranda nods and they collect their drinks and find a table not too far from the karaoke but closer to the arm wrestling. There are a couple of people to one side waiting for the mike, so Miranda sits for now.

The three guys at the next table seem to be having an arm wrestling drinking competition. Whoever loses has to drink.

Emma

Emma nods to Skye. "Let's do this, and who shall we set the boys up with?" Em scans the room, nodding to a few likely ducks to Skye. "Hmmm catch their attention with some rousing Karaoke?" If they could get the boyos involved as well, it might be easy to talk them up while they were bravely on stage.

{Skye}

She had followed Em's nods to the best prospects for the night. There was a decent smattering of girls and boys in the crowd - but no one struck her particularly yet. But she had to laugh. "Ha! Looks like the boys want to play with boys," Skye indicated Levon moving over to shark the arm wrestlers. "But maybe it'll help pay for drinks for the night! 'Cuz we'll need it if I'm singing! But what the hell!"

Skye took a swig of her Guinness and motioned to Reg, the barkeep, for a shot of her fav Red Breast Irish whiskey. She really did love singing - she even had a secret love of country music -- mostly when she was in the shower or car. But her off-key voice was also why belting our Joan Jett worked better for her most the time - and why she was a Producer not an Artist.

Emma

Liquid courage it was, and Emma ordered a shot of vodka. "I think we should all take to the stage... It'd be fun, and a bit different." Emma had not done Karaoke, but she did have a decent voice, and why not? Let the evening be a little wilder than she normally had and try something new and different. "Think we could get the others on board?"


OOC: Whiskey Ward rides again.....

Henri

He sits down next to Miranda at the table, and watches one arm wrestling contest to quickly find that it is not for money. "Well, looks like no beer money involved there", he says to Miranda with a slightly disappointed tone. With it being more of an drinking contest, he will turn his attention back to the group asks, "Levon, you still going to give the arm wrestling a try?"

Levon
"I suppose I can be your entertainment for the night."

He gets up and walks over to the arm wrestlers and says to the guys there, "My friends insist on seeing me get embarrassed. I hear that you're wrestling for pints?"

{Skye}

"Oh. We'll make them join us!" Skye laughed conspiratorially. Levon had already headed over to win them drinks, so it would be up to she and Em to get them started. Once Emma had her drink - she clinked with her own shot glass. "I think we're up first - what should we sing?"


OOC: Awesome! We never did finish our Whisky Ward discography! BTW sorry for the delayed response. Finishing up one job and starting a new director position on Monday.

He will stand up to watch Levon do a round of arm wrestling to cheer him on, but will remain near their table and ask Miranda, "Who do you think is the strongest out of your MMA team?"

The small karaoke stage has fallen silent as Emma and Skye make their way over to duet. As they study the machine, they look at the 25 most popular songs:

There are three young men, probably students, arm wrestling for fun who seem to be taking drinking penalties if they lose. Lots of laughter. They welcome Levon and the dark curly dark haired male explains the rules.

"If you lose, you have to drink ideally in one, whatever is your preferred tipple. Good way of getting drunk quickly."

He chuckles.

Henri, Ian and Miranda stand watching Levon.

"Well Levon is our top player. If he can channel his aggression positively he is really good, strong and athletic. Good combination. But I have seen Sky beat him once or twice."

Emma

L:ooking over the list, Emma looks at Skye. "Hhmm Don't Go Breakin' My Heart? It's Raining Men? Or did any of the others catch your eye?" Em kept looking at the list, thinking about songs that would be a good dynamic. Or at the very least, fun. "I Feel Like a Woman?"

{Skye}

"Fuck, yeah!" She laughed and signaled Reg for another round to be waiting. "It's gotta be Shania to start. Let's get their attention." Clearly Skye was wanting to feel something.

"Oh. Did I see Jolene too?" The light wasn't the best - but it was clear that Skye blushed. "Oh, girl. We'ze gonna to line up quarters all night - as my dad says."

{OOC: sorry. minimum response. such a tough first week of new job - reminded that I can't solve everything at once. oh....Skye characteristic... LOL blush}

Henri

"Skye, beat Levon!" He is surprised and impressed with Skye. While she is taller than Levon by a bit, Henri would never have thought she could do that.

He adds with a humorous tone, "I guess I better not laugh if she botches up whatever song they pick for Karaoke, or I'll probably find myself knocked silly before I even know it."

Miranda grins.

"I doubt it. Skye has more discipline. I figure that works in her favour. Don't get me wrong, Levon beats everyone most of the time. I've never beaten him, he's too good."

She sips her drink.

Levon
"Sounds fair. Who's taking first crack at the American?" he says as he moves into position to wrestle.

A fairly tall lad, blonde with freckles, steps forward.

"I'll have a go as it's my turn. Name's Grant."

He smiles as takes his place opposite, arm on the table hand raised to clasp.

[OOC please describe how much effort Levon is making]

Skye and Emma can press to select their tune and start when ready.

Levon

He smiled back at Grant. "Nice to meet you," he said grasping the lad's hand "Levon's the name."

Levon braced himself and prepared to enter the contest with an intent to win. Losing was never an option. When the battle started, he would do his absolute best.

Henri

Looking towards the arm-wrestling competition, he will let out a cheer in support of Levon.

Grant takes Levon's hand, nods, and exerts pressure. Maybe Levon wasn't ready or the lad is stronger than he looks but Levon finds his arm flat on the table.

Emma

"Jolene... we definitely have to add some Dolly to the mix. Now, shall we go tell the boyos that they are going to be singing tonight as well?" Emma asked her friend, a jaunty smile in Skye's direction. Time to get the show started, and the fellas needed to participate.
