Letting out a short curse as the enemy spear slices him, he will concentrate on keeping an eye out for that fishy creature to show up again as he plans to ram his flaming sphere into it.
Davroar readies his flaming sphere to move it when another kuo-tao appears while Bern fires another arrow at the Otyugh attacking Arus. The arrow misses it's mark.
DM Arus deals a solid blow against the muck-dwelling monstrosity. It retaliates but in it's frightened state, none of it's attacks struck the triton.
Meanwhile the rest of the team waits for the kuo-tao to emerge and attack - but they do not. It becomes a silent moment. Have they disappeared? Have they left?
Otyugh Save vs Wrathful Smite Neptune rolled 1d20+1 and got 8 It is frightened: A frightened creature has disadvantage on Ability Checks and Attack rolls while the source of its fear is within Line of Sight. The creature can’t willingly move closer to the source of its fear.
OOC: Sorry about this week. Lots of stuff going on and got more than distracted.... Jaliera is up. Davroar can go too. I don't think anything he and Jaliera are doing will interfere with each other.
Sindar is up, followed by Bern. Remember that both can see Otyugh attacking Arus. It still has 75% cover which gives you a -5 to hit before other plusses and minuses, but it is the only visible target, is hurt and is attacking Arus.
DM Once again Sindar and Bern, standing several feet apart but focused on the same target, wound the sewer creature with arrows and cutting words, but the monster is large and formidable and remains a threat. Beyond it, the flaming sphere moves around in such a way that it signals to everyone that it's being controlled by Davroar and identifying his location. Otyugh Wisdom save vs vicious mockery Neptune rolled 1d20+1 and got 13 kriv is up, followed by Arus
Kriv continues to try and peck away at the sewer monster but his bolts of fire miss. But the real danger to the otyugh was the triton, who landed two powerful blows to it. The monster is resilient but it's faltering.
Once again, the Kuo-tao do not appear. What they might be doing is a mystery. The otyugh, frustrated by it's inability to move at normal speed, is hell-bent on killing Arus. It lashes out with a tentacle. The tentacle misses wildly.
OOC: AJ, you missed, but you didn't have to roll twice. You probably didn't realize it, since I didn't the first dozen times or so
Last round, you needed to roll twice in Roll20 because you were rolling "normally". This time, however, you turned on the disadvantage toggle. The screenshot shows the toggle on (red) and if you look at the roll by hovering over it, the roll saysto Roll two 20-sided dice (2d20) keep lowest (kl) crit on a 20 (cs>20). You rolled a 14 and a 3. It kept the 3 added your modifier and resulted in the 6, a miss.
Otyugh attacks Arus with it's tentacles Neptune rolled 1d20+6,1d8+3 and got 7, 11
Otyugh Wis save vs slow Neptune rolled 1d20+1 and got 9
Zhu goes. Then Jaliera/Whisper

She still wants to defend and help to protect Davroar so she keeps her vigil but her mind is wondering where those other creatures went. She gets Whisper to turn around on her shoulder so she can watch behind. Better safe than sorry.
