Was it just me or did others notice the parallels between Tony's end story and the finale of Magnum P.I.. I am a giant Magnum fan (I have seen all the episodes at least four times, even the bad ones) and if you twisted my arm I would probably say it is my favorite TV show, though NCIS is close as is Baa Baa Black Sheep (a guilty pleasure for a WWII buff and a plane nut - and also a Larson/Bellisario effort).

Personally I didn't really mind the parallels. Magnum P.I. was an early Bellisario show (so it is something of a tribute) and in the early years of NCIS (the ones written by Bellisario) the DiNozzo character used to talk about Magnum all the time, so in a way it is sort of neat.

While I watched Magnum fairly regularly, it has been a =very= long time. And I hadn't remember the end of that show until you mentioned it <g>

I thought it was an interesting 'exit' for him <g>
