gahs! I apologize ... I've been trying to get everyone to the same place on their individual storylines and was hoping to write the big scene oer the long weekend!
Except after a 60 hour week I accidentally let a question slip through the cracks ...
As soon as a post is put together after that we can move on, I hope!
FUn while it lasted, I guess. But if Daxia drops, I guess I'll end up dropping Kadri as well, because it would no longer make sense to have her in there.
no jumping the gun ... i haven't even got home from work yet
especially considering that yesterday Kelly was discussing all the possible things that the Company could be doing next - and one of them intrigued her quite a bit.
oh. and she is right about one thing. I'm the only one who can push Kay around.
hey... as an ex player(and no right to speak on that account) but more importantly as a GM... Before anyone does anything rash, let the GM read everything and try to work it out so that HIS game maintains continuity for those that need and maybe find a way to do what others ask. I lurk a little. While my style wasn't a good match for this game, it doesn't mean I didn't enjoy the world and the story.
Give mike a chance before anyone quits... and others follow... and still others feel offended... Let the GM sort it out... he is the most high expert on his own world.
Hate to see a game unravel over what might just be a communication gap or a misread or something similarly innocuous.
This game is enough of a mind [insert f-bomb here] when I just have Wolf writing things that are inscrutable and take hours or days to parse, and even then I guess his meaning wrong a third of the time.
Super OCD Woman is more OCD and more fragile since my life went to fecal matter in a container woven from straw. Has anyone heard of that alleged quality called patience? I used to have some. Now my reserves of it are so low that I’m using every ounce of it to keep from incurring assault charges at work. While my new Bose noise cancelling headphones are fantastic, I [insert f-bomb here]-ing resent like Hades the fact that I was forced to spend $300 so that I don’t have to listen to a [insert extremely horrible word here that begins with ‘c’ and rhymes with punt] of a coworker spend the majority of the work day on personal phone calls talking about (among other things) the indignities and injustices the world is heaping upon her FOUR VERY MUCH ALIVE DAUGHTERS’ shoulders.
This is me whenever I see or hear the witch:
I apologize for my a$$holery here, but if this “game” is going to turn into a free-for-all where people do whatever strikes their fancy with no regard for the integrity of the story, the “reality” of the world Wolf has created, or Newtonian physics, then I’m going to need to step out.
I love the character I play here. I do not necessary love the position she’s been forced into, but I do love Dazi. I would definitely cry if I couldn’t write about her anymore. But my tenuous grasp on sanity is more important that one character. Thanks to Pam, I have more ideas than I know what to do with for Andrea in BTS... thanks to all the players in ECL, I have SO MANY fun, scary and serious ideas for all of us on the Eclipse. Between those two forums, I have plenty to write; I don’t NEED to write for Dazi. I just WANT to write for Dazi.
Things are happening here in this scene that don’t make sense. The only one making any sense is Dean... because Mokie hasn’t posted and I can just assume Dean is being his big ol’ puppy dog self and doing amusing Dean things.
Granted, I’m sure it’s my own fault for having Dazi say “Eat...” to Kay, Kadri, Darian and Cesare instead of saying “Eat... that’s an order.” Not that THAT would have changed anything, I suppose. But Kadri should be with Darian, Cesare, Longtooth and Kay in the inn. Kadri is a free agent, yes. So Kadri can do whatever Kadri wants to do. Teleporting from the inn to the edge of the ravine is NOT one of the things Kadri should be able to do, and that made me twitch. Then scream, because it’s the second time Kadri’s done that.
I’m not going to ascribe motivations to an NPC, but I am going to go with logic. Kay is still not 100% healed, and a superior — and only person she even vaguely thinks she knows — told her to eat breakfast. Twice. I’m only thinking from Dazi’s point of view as a Dayalan, but if Dazi was an Initiate and a Starrider told her to stay put... she’d stick. And do exactly what her Sister told her to do, ESPECIALLY if she was freaked out every which way including loose.
So unless and until WOLF says Kay has wandered out of the inn to see what’s going on, Kay is NOT OUTSIDE.
I’m frustrated. I’m angry. And yeah, maybe I’m being a control freak. But I’ve never been very good at dealing with things that don’t make sense.
I’m much, MUCH less good at deal with things that don’t make sense than I’ve ever been in my life, because I don't like my life... I don't like where I'm living... because Hell is an awful place to live.
I have things to do now IRL. I will be thinking about how to gracefully remove Dazi from the game.
As to the second, No problem at all> As to the third ... I don't know about everyone else, but I think that Kadri more or less would prefer to be at a distance from this place as soon as is reasonably plausible.,
