The next step is to hang numbers and such on your characters, against that rare time we may actually have to figure out just actually who has just poked who with something sharp.
The problem with swords is that folks tend to want to use them.
Just like the character development process this a dialog; this time it can work two ways:
1) If you are comfortable with working the numbers, the starting character rules are up in the HWD: Reference post. Send me a private summary of your first thoughts - posted to your character proposal/background thread, which we'll then work out the wrinkles to finalize it.
2) If you are not comfortable or you just don't want the headache, I do have some templates for starting character types. If that is the case I'll send the basic template for you to review for you to say "this is fine" or "I really think I should be tougher/smarter and can I have such-and-such a skill.
If there's a special piece of gear you'd like to have let m know.
Some of you have sent me pictures of your character; I'd just like to hold up filling the gallery until you make your first in-character introductory post!
